I like to be someone different from time to time

Eversince i was a kid, i always kinda liked to pretend that i was somebody else because i had (and still kinda have) a very vivid imagination. I wasn't somebody who had many friends during my childhood and i mostly spend my freetime of school, to play video games and watching movies. I love to get into my thoughts then and pretend i was one of those characters, or sometimes just be myself and interacting with the world.

These days, i use my imagination to create my own character, that i can relate to, which as you know is Mesme Rize. I wouldn't just Mesme Rize my OC. I would even go so far as to say that he is my Ponysona, because he has some of the personality traits that i have, with some extras of course. I always loved to imagine myself as a larger then life creature. In this case, a 30 feet big ponylamia that loves hugs and hypnotizes ponies. :P

There are some people that probably would criticize me, saying that i should remain with my head in the real world, or that i should grow up. I think it's okay to let your imagination go from time to time, because it's a nice way to relax yourself and let your problems step aside. I think my imagination helped me make more friends then ever, be it through doing Fanfics, Roleplays or whatever.

Do you guys think so as well? Do you also have a vivid imagination?

I think it is a good idea to let yourself re;ax and let your problems go for a little while by doing this method of pretending you are someone else. Like I said before, I sometimes do this and it helps. I also have a vivid imagination according to the people and adults I talk to.

I remember sneaking outside, acting like I would be a stealth-expert like Snake from Metal Gear or other things. Like you I have a big imagination and fantasy, even created my own daily series, where I fight with school friends etc. against evil people or monsters etc. XD MLP increased it only with all the possibilities like Fics and RPs. :3

What makes you think that? Do you talk about the pic or the blog in general?

I was just making a little joke about the pic.

I often times find myself expressing that imagination playing Table-Top RPGs with good Role Players.  I've played as one half of an Ettin (Two-Headed Giant), a schizophrenic vampire, the cowardly merchant, an ancient dragon constructed of clockwork, an indentured servant to a broken family, the kingpin of an underground criminal empire trying to stop an invasion of my home country, and many many other characters in worlds that can only exist in imagination but are told through story.

If the group is right for you, and you can let your imagination fly in such a fashion, perhaps that is one of the best outlets for those stories, and it is a shared experience that always left me guessing.  When the group clicks, the stories you tell together suddenly turn into a fluid engaging story.

Yes, some people will be judgmental, but there is always judgements.  The question is if you enjoy it, and if you find a healthy way to engage that imagination then I say go for it.  I personally love making characters that make other players think, laugh, and most definitely become a little nervous at the table.
