So, first blog entry? First blog entry.

I came to these forums to get a fresh start. To wipe my slate clean, make new friends, perhaps kind of reinvent myself.

I'm not... running away from anything in particular? I've just come to feel like I've built up too much baggage and continuity over the years, and it's starting to weigh down on me. I just needed to start clean and fresh. Getting involved in a new community I didn't have any friends in was the best way to do so!

I'm already starting to settle into the forums nicely, even if I've yet to find my niche. It's nice to have been so welcomed, and it makes me feel good to jump in and welcome other new people.

I do have some reservations, still. I've never been the most character or story-focused person, mostly due to an inability to empathize. Which I've been told time and time again tends to come with the territory of being autistic. And so, seeing all this in-depth character/story analysis is kind of intimidating? I know a lot of people are here for the characters. But on the other hand, we DO all have an enjoyment of FiM in common so I doubt there's going to be too much friction, so long as I just keep my head clear of character and plotline analysis stuff!

So.. yeah. I'm here for a new start with my e-life, and I definitely think I've found it!
