Oh yeah. I finally did it! After a day or so of getting involved in this forum I've come up with my first pony character!!

I didn't feel comfortable enough to make some sort of pony with massive amounts of magical/political power, or anyone famous, so I just made a measly little craftsman!

The idea came to me to make an underground pony, because that's pretty neat! Can't imagine there's too many of them. And while at first I was going to make an underground architect ( because cave cities are awesome ), I instead switched to a simpler idea!

I got the idea of a family pretty similar to the Apple family, except underground. And instead of apples, mushrooms! Mushrooms of all shapes and sizes that they cultivate and harvest, primarily for food or mixing up into medicine. I also figured it'd be amusing to make them unicorns, because farmer unicorns! That's neat.

So in the end I have Lamlplight. A unicorn stallion who's broken away from his family's tradition of harvesting mushrooms for food and medicine, and has become a furniture craftsman! Harvest giant mushrooms, and then carve furniture out of them! Soft but sturdy tables, chairs, shelving, anything that anypony could want!

He's opened up his own furniture shop in a cave mouth somewhere not too far from Ponyville , and he sends word along with ponies that come to buy from the rest of his family to tell ponies all throughout Equestria about his furniture shop.

I like this idea. I think it's a good first OC idea.
