My Top 3 Presidents (*Political)

These are 6 presidents that I feel like are great, in light of Trump and the horrific things he's already done to become the most unpopular president in US history (he reached the mark of majority disapproval in EIGHT DAYS! That's at least 100 times faster than ANY president I know of) and the corruption that led him there. I'll try to keep this as short as I can. May still be paragraphs in length.

1. Franklin Delano Roosevelt- The New Deal saved America from economic collapse and ended the Great Depression in the US before it ended elsewhere. He also provided the base of the modern economic safety net in the same sentence. His fireside chats helped the morale of the American people in the economic disaster significantly, it got him elected FOUR TIMES. Though it cannot be left unsaid that he did try to take a little too much power. His leadership in the war to come was almost perfect, well aside from the racist internment camps placed all over the western US. Anyone of Japanese descent was treated to cruel conditions in these camps, though it wasn't as bad as the Jews had it in Germany. At least they weren't being worked to death, starved, or completely deprived. Though that was by the urging of the people that he gave out the order, in FDR's defense. But in spite of his one major letdown, I believe him to be the greatest president in US history for his determination towards keeping America afloat. The US as we know it owes its thanks to his efforts.

2.George Washington- I feel like not putting him this high is doing his leadership during the Revolutionary War a complete injustice. He led the Continental Army to a victory against the greatest army in the world at the time. According to Deadliest Warrior, he was superior to even Napoleon in his military capability. But I put him this high because he was one of the few presidents that got elected DIRECTLY by the people. Heck, he didn't WANT to be president but accepted their invitation. Also his words on alliances ring true to this day. Military alliances or rivalries (mostly the latter) drag countries in to wars, like it has done to us on MULTIPLE occasions. Wars are NOT a good thing. They cost lives and cost money, as well as time to develop into a country proper, as you see in the Middle East today. His conventional wisdom helped the US be decent enough for at least most of the time. I mean I'd still rather move to Norway or Sweden for the political atmosphere not being covered in metaphorical smog, but nonetheless it would be worse without Washington, if it would even exist.

3. Theodore Roosevelt- He would literally have been the perfect president at his time minus the Imperial edge to some viewpoints. He was the first president to protect wildlife, and one of the few to fight mighty corporations HEAD-ON. His fight against corporations, though, has been long forgotten as we see now. The majority of Trump's cabinet are despicable people who are the heads of corporations, or are in their pockets (cough cough FCC chairman cough cough). Theodore would have fought these people instead of allowing himself to get corrupted by their money. Just like an early 1900's version of Bernie Sanders. He was always known as a supreme in the art of the trust-bust, to the point he was made fun of by political cartoons for his valiant stand against the monstrosities. Those efforts are what progressives stand for today, which is why I consider myself part of the group. I agree with their stands and their protests against completely abhorrent policies and political behaviors, such as destroying preserved lands, polluting the air, or the act of corruption. Theodore's presidency should have sent a clear message to Americans that I stand for: fight for what is right, don't let the evil in this world take over all else. But Imperialism... Meh...

Those may be a bit short, I didn't describe their presidencies in much detail. I wanted to type it quick to get the thought out of my head, to explain what a GOOD president is like and show you that Donald J. Trump will be one of the worst things to happen to America, and doesn't jive with how America should be represented. It should be represented by someone who gives a care about people, and not just his misguided world view. It could make the US a more threatening country than it's already viewed to be. 24% of the world voted the US to be the most dangerous country on the planet at the end of 2013 in a study conducted by the Worldwide Independent Network. Expect that percentage to go up in the coming years, as we further disrupt the peace in the Middle East and fuel ISIS with anti-Muslim laws, and brazenly destroy TPP without even bringing it to the table for re-negotiation. I will warn you all as I have done in a previous post in the debate pit (that place is as disgusting as the Republican establishment): we MAY not even SURVIVE Trump. The danger he poses to the world is immense and could cause World War III to transpire. This isn't even ABOUT politics anymore. It's about the survival of the United States. Even his VP is better than Trump, and we should all know by know he's an awful representation of the American people as well, and still nonetheless dangerous.\

What would you rank Lincoln?

I put him somewhere like 8th when I made a list yesterday (I do this once every few months usually, my opinions change sometimes on a few presidents). I give him quite a bit credit for his leadership during the Civil War (I had him 3rd at a point), but he had some issues regarding the way he took criticism of the way he ran the government, and he did imprison people he suspected of being Confederate spies without any real proof to back it up. He also *fun fact* did NOT initially support equal rights for

African-Americans, in fact in an 1858 debate with Stephen Douglas he admitted he wasn't for racial equality, though his view on it changed after a while. But nonetheless he was a fairly good leader in the time of the Civil War, even though the greatness is something I believe is overrated by conservatives and even other liberals as well.

I like Teddy. His most famous quote, "speak softly and carry a big stick" rings with me. He was a certified Bad Motherfucker who probably did carry a big stick. If he was alive today, he could probably carry .357 Magnum wherever he wanted and nobody would say anything to him.

I wish the US would have heeded it when it came to the Middle East...

Nobody probably would, because you don't mess with Teddy.
