i dont really remember what i used to do here all that time other than scrolling and waiting for something to happen when in reality there isnt really much that can happen at all i just spend time sitting around

posting in topics would be fun but there arent many topics that genuinely interest me anymore. or there are but when i try to say something i cant seem to be able to write sentences that even remotely make any sense my writing ability just isnt on the par on what i would like to say and it frustrates me

engaging in meaningful conversation is a long shot since people only respond into topics once and state their opinion and thats it. What i want to do is to provide insight that other people can build on and they can feel that something was really written there and not just another empty post.

I have had the same problem with most social media I join. I go in thinking I can make friends, get followers, or be more involved in whatever social circles that use it but then I find it isn't easy to just make friends anonymously over the internet even if you share the same fandom; it takes too much commitment to get so much so as a thousand followers for little reward; and if I am not close with someone in the flesh following them on the force known as "the internet" does not make us any closer... and then you just sit there remembering the reason you made the account while aimlessly looking through posts and profiles only to be so annoyed by how futile your attempts to keep using the site is and just stop using it.

Sure, you can get into good discussions on certain topics, but you have to wait hours sometimes even weeks until they respond.

Sorry about stopping the messages on deviant art, by the way. After a while of not messaging you I sort of got nervous to go back... I just felt like I should return for this entry.

well oobrony, starting a new conversation is a great way to do that. Also these blogs are a great platform.

Also....RFC!!!!! RFC!!!! RFCCCCC

RFC is a think ooBrony. I'm all about meaningful discussions, which is why I sometimes toss out questions framed in a more 'philosophical' manner? I agree that the internet and most asynchronous discussions tend to invite opinion dropping, but I would happily engage you in a topic if I saw you post.

Honestly I just check my notifications every once in a while and then go back to what I was doing. That's a good part of the reason why after being here for 3 years I only have 305 posts.

yeah and i usually have too much of that commitement and it tends to go overboard and i have way too much time on my hands to invest on sites like this and it really defeats the purpose why i am on the site in the first place

ideal goal would be that i visit the site say 2-5 times a day and post on something that has occured during the time i wasnt present but when you dont have anything else to do it really doesnt work because making a post doesnt necessarily always take long time and there is too much time to spare

what i used to do was to try to expand my circles and get more people into contact with me and that way there would be more frequent updates on what is going on though i think i bit more than i can chew and it ended up backfiring in the end when i maxed out the friends limit on this site and the good communication of status updates  stopped working properly.

that was kinda the last straw on top of RFC activity going down a notch and i didnt feel very inspiring posting multiple posts in a row there

i've kinda got my messaging scheme going on deviant art but the truth is that i have so many messages to answer to that the quality of the messages drops down and the content in the messages becomes pretty much meaningless but it still keeps me going

I hear ya. I feel the same.

Hopefully we shall both reignite the spark.

i've kept the spark going in deviant art these days  though this site can be tougher for me to reignite  unless i find some sort of inspiration here or something that i can do that proves to be at least something of use to me

what type of conversation you mean ? through status updates  through the pm messaging system or something else entirely ? conversations are always one thing that keep people going and it is good way  though these days i hold most of my conversations in deviant art i feel that i need a way to converse more in depth since the messaging in deviant art that i do doesnt really provide me much of the depth that i am seeking

also rfc is good place but it has been a while since i seen some actual in depth conversation in there  there are only lot of images there usually and since starting in deviant art it has been harder for me to spread the art that these other people produce  on sites like this because it is always not what the artist  would like  and since my respect for the artists has grown i cannot spread the art without their permission as it wouldnt feel right thing to do

it is a good tactic to come once in a while and check the messages and i would use  it if i had something else to do but usually i dont have anything more important to do
