#1 - Notable Changes in Behavior

Valiant 2.0

Hello, everypony.

So, I've noticed a few behavioral changes since I've started this Pony Hypnosis thing.

One of the most interesting changes is this: Apples are freaking DELICIOUS now. Seriously. I can't get enough! Lol.

I mean, apples were alright before, but now...every bite is heaven! Haha. And don't get me started on apple pies...this is a change I never anticipated.

Another change I've noticed is this: I seem to be more caring of others and what they have to say to me. Like, I seem to listen better. And I'm not just saying that...I seem to be more aware of things.

And speaking of listening better, it feels like I can hear birds chirping outside more clearly and distinctly. It's neat.

Finally, I'm a lot happier and...more positive, it feels like. I don't know why. I'm just reporting my findings during this experiment.

No negative effects so far. I'm sure there'll be something, but so far...nope.

Onward, then.

You serious about all this? I'm not one to believe much in hypnosis, but I've seen what it does to people on stage, making them think they're dogs, or that a tube of rubber is a killer snake. If this is all real.. That's kinda cool. Mind pointing me in the direction of the Pony Hypnosis post?

I thought the same thing about hypnosis before I tried the Hypnoponies stuff. And indeed, it can be ineffective at best, dangerous at worst. That's why I'm keeping this journal here to record any and all positive or negative effects.

And I'm not one to lie. Everything I post here will be as precise to what I'm feeling as I can make it. Pinkie promise. :)

The Pony Hypnosis post here on MLP Forums directs you to the Hypnoponies community forums site. I'll save you time and just post a link to the site here:

PS: You have to sign up there (for free) if you want to use the hypnosis files, FYI)

Looking it up and reading now...interesting stuff. I'll take it into account during this experiment. Thanks!

Have you ever heard of the placebo effect? I wonder how you know what you are feeling is not just that?

I'm gonna do my own little experiment on this soon, and I'll have my friend be watching and writing down what happens, just so I don't put my bias into anything. This is super interesting.. I think it might be true

A friend would not eliminate the risk of a placebo. That is in fact the problem with hypnosis in general. In is not testable in any scientific way.   There is a reason no real doctor will recommend hypnosis .

However, the power of suggestion is powerful.  you believe you are a pony, because you are told that you are one. Nothing really scientific happens.

Scientific or not, it doesn't change what you believe and feel. The Placebo effect, unless I'm wrong, means that one takes a medicine, for example, that actually does nothing. However, even though the medicine does nothing, the person believes it does, therefore, in some cases, causing the effect the medicine would have had to actually happen, albeit in a smaller way. So, even if this hypnosis thing doesn't really 'alter my personality', I believe it might.. So let's just see what happens. Maybe I will feel like a pony. Wouldn't that be awesome?

maybe to each their own. I prefer to live in the real world. Facts and science won't let me down like feelings can. However if you like it go for it, it is not dangerous or anything.

fortunately or unfortunately, the real world has hypnosis in it :) I just got off a hypno session. I dont like seeing people claiming it isn't real. You scoff at it, but you probably have not tried it and may be one of those that doesnt really pay attention if you listen to a file, or just purposely ignore everything and claim it doesn't work. Its a little rude to come into a blog like this and say 'I live in the real world and that's just fake'. its not a placebo and its not fake, its like a mentally altering drug and should be used with care. it would be even more rude if it were  a placebo effect, but fortunately, it is not.

good luck and i hope you enjoy your change valiant :)

You can say whatever you want but it is not anything like a mind altering drug. A drug can be tested we can measure the results of a drug. We can see the chemical changes a drug produces. I also like how you fake quoted me. I was trying to be very careful, never saying it is fake. In fact I say the power of suggestion is very powerful. I only said nothing scientific happens, never it is not real. Lots of unscientific things have very real results.

Coming here and calling me rude is toxic to the conversation. I believe the point of this is to discuss the possible effects of pony hypnosis. Not so be some Echo chamber of praise.
