I'm hungry.

That title has nothing to do with what I'm about to say. :P But I am really hungry though, can't think of anything other than food right now. Perhaps that's why I titled the blog entry that. :adorkable: Anyways, I need your opinion... I hope this doesn't come off as self-absorbed and egotistic because I really am almost the exact opposite of that, I don't have much confidence in myself. I used to be pretty optimistic and outgoing last year but I don't exactly know what happened and now I'm just very socially-awkward and somewhat sad. And that's why I'm asking this question, what are some of your honest opinions of me? If there are any. I want to see what people think of me and try to change myself a little because in real-life (or at least in my mind) my personal image isn't all that positive. So, if anyone is reading this, thank you in advance. :)

I like you. You seem like a very nice person from what I've seen on here. You don't have to change anything about yourself.

Aww. I think you're incredibly nice and you have no need to change. And no, it's not egotistic to have those kinds of doubts... I've dealt with them for a while. Always been at least a bit socially awkward, but I've changed over time.

My self-esteem hit rock bottom for the first couple years of high school (you're in 8th or 9th grade, right?) and it was awful. It took friendship to help me climb out of that hole and get more social.

But know that no matter what, you've got people here who think you're pretty cool. You seem well-liked and appreciated. ^^ And if you need anything, I've got your back, alright? :)

@Prospekt Reading this makes me feel a lot better about myself and gives me the motivation to not give up faith in me. Knowing that I have moral support makes a whole world of difference, thank you. :)

You've posted on pretty much every welcome thread I've seen since you joined, which is a really nice thing to see people taking time out of their day for.

As far as I've seen, you're a positive, open, and all-around friendly guy.

I think you're a very nice, friendly person. You seem like the type of guy I'd want to be around and talk to.

I can relate to how you're feeling. I don't exactly have the most positive view of myself either, but there are always people out there who care about you, whether you realize it or not. If you ever wanna talk, I'm here!

Honestly, you're one of the nicest guys I've met on these forums. I see you on every welcome thread, you always comment on my status updates, and I've found that wherever you go, people seem to be happier.

I have some advice for you regarding your sadness, though.

You have no reason to be sad about anything, because all that's gonna do is make things worse. As someone who has struggled with both sadness and social anxiety, I can say from experience that the only way to feel better is to make yourself feel better. That may sound really stupid, but I promise you, it works. It worked for me at least. I was a very awkward kid, and my lack of true friends led to a feeling of hopelessness that I felt I couldn't shake. But after that little change in attitude my life instantly got 100% better. Now I'm a (mostly) happy guy with a large social circle. Since this worked so well for me, I think it will work well for you!

Oh, and if you ever need anything, you can always talk to me!:smug:

I hope I helped...:kindness:

@Rhythm Red And indeed you did. I sometimes try to make myself feel better and then other times I just make myself feel terrible, I guess I should just get rid of the second part and focus on cheering myself up. Thank you so much for taking your time answering my question, and offering me advice. I really appreciate it. :)

@Wannabrony Great to hear, man!

Just a nice quote I think I should mention: "60 seconds spent in sadness is a minute of happiness you will never get back".

I'm glad I could help!:)
