After being married since 2013, and living with my husband since 2011, within weeks of meeting him, I’m moving out on my own.
For three months while I do an incredible internship about 5 hours away from home. And yes, this was clickbait.
Seriously though I’ll be working in cybersecurity for a cool as hell company you’ve all heard of, living on my own in a city I don’t know, doing a job I’m under qualified for, so that’s cool.
I’ve never lived alone, and normally would be all about it, because I don’t get lonely, but I’m also disabled, so I have concerns. Being able to do everything for myself will be tough at best, and because of my course load, I will be working 40 a week, doing school full time, eating, and sleeping. Yikes.
I could just get a job where I live rather than the internship, but both my parents worked for this company, and it will be a shining beacon on my resume. Plus, it’s got an end date, whereas a job doesn’t. After 3 months, I come home to my husband, doggos, cattos, and house, and continue working on my degree as it gets into the more complicated bits.
