I've never been more angry than I am now

s09e26 spoiler inside. It already aired, but I'll be nice and hide it regardless.

Spoiler

I can't express how utterly disappointed I am at FiM's ending. The literal worst thing the writers could have done was make Appledash canon, and they did just that. Hell, Soarindash would have been acceptable, and I've always despised that ship. At least that would have been somewhat reasonable.

I've never been this pissed off about anything in my life, and I can't sleep because of it. The only thing on my mind is how mad I am. I really wanted the end of the show to be perfect, or at least good. This wonderful show that I've loved and cherished for almost a year now, this thing that's brought so much joy and happiness to my life, the only thing left in my life that actually matters to me anymore, and it ends like that. I don't know if I can even go back and re-watch the previous episodes now. Episode 26 ruined the entire show for me.

I don't know. I have no clue why that minute detail is such a big deal to me, but it is. I've never understood the 'why' behind my emotions, all I know is 'what'. Let's hope G5 and its cast and writers can do better, cause I don't have anything else to look forward to.

What's so bad about Appledash (or SoarinDaah, for that matter?

Anyway, it's ignorable enough - at most it's hinted that they live together.

Like I said, I don't know. It just makes me feel unhappy. And I don't like Soarindash because there's next to no reason to ship them. Soarin is a very flat character. Maybe if they'd developed him more it would be okay.

Every character has to start somewhere.

And if you don't like it, then they're not together. It's the magic of ambiguity.

I’ve seen images and read about it.

I'm a huge AppleDash fan and have no problem with it but I'm not happy about another ship becoming canon.

So, I'm gonna act like it never happened.

But I can understand where you're coming from.

I'm really glad that ZephyrDash never became canon.

They could just be living together. With RD being a full-time member of the Wonderbolts, she might be spending significant time away from her cloud home. Sharing a house with a friend could be a plausible explanation.

@Spooker I know how you feel. I was there back in the day when Twilight was getting wings! Knowing that the writers and Hasbro was making a huge mistake, and seeing a strong community (you should have been there, the Bronies were so many, they ruled the world by a huge margin, everything was perfect and harmony) falling in a matter of weeks because of that "stupid" choice, was heart breaking!

Nothing could ever make up for that mistake...

Well, it just did:

Spoiler

Well, by prediction by myself (and many many others at that time), Twilight will be all alone, seeing all her friends die, seeing her family die, seeing her brother die, and seeing Spike die!
The "Friendship is Magic" motto is defined by that very friendship that will die, and therefore, there won't be any magic: She will also die, in a brutally unhappy way.

This was defined in the final episode of Season 3, and confirmed in Season 9 Episode 26.

Justice has been made! It is all there. The show did not only lose Lauren Faust at that point in the series (because of similar stupid reasons), but they also wrote themselves a death trap, all to promote Miss America for one evening (LOL).

The crazy is strong with this post.

Twilight becoming an alicorn was not a mistake (though it might have been too hasty). The fandom survived it just fine, as proven by the fact that we're all still here to get worked up about the lastest thing. Her living for centuries or millennia is not a bad thing, but will allow her to have many, many friends in that time - therefore, the magic will never die, even when she does someday (probably not in a brutal, unhappy way).
