Yesterday evening was interesting. While my comrades were playing on their 3DS (download play) one of them gave me their phone so I could play Fire Emblem Heroes.

I warn them that I was about to waste all of their hard earned orbs on the gacha and they were okay with it, probably because they were too focused on winning whatever they were playing.

I used all of their free redeems and got four 4 star characters and one 3 star. I show my comrade what I got and they were okay with it. They were even okay with the three star because she seemed like waifu material. I shake my head like "really" and continue back to the gacha screen. I remember later that day that I was talking about, Byleth, one of the main characters from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. And that if he (my friend) owned a copy of three houses by a set date that he would get Byleth free as long as he linked his Nintendo account to Fire Emblem Heroes. So, I see Byleth as a banner character and I said, "May as well pull from this again." and boy oh boy was I in for a treat. I got 5 star Byleth with the first pull that costed orbs, the world was on my side! I showed my comrade and he was very happy.

Hit or miss. I guess we sometimes miss, huh?
