Hey hey everypony!

After completing Bioshock Infinite last night i decided that i should put in my two bits about the game, so i did a video review of it on my youtube channel. If you dont want to watch the video then i'm including the written version anyway, cuz i'm nice like that :P

Plotline – Bioshock Infinite is the third instalment in the BioShock series, set in 1912 you play as Brooker DeWitt on a mission to find a girl named Elizabeth in the flying city of Columbia and bring her back “to wipe away your debt”, utilizing guns and Vigors (Infinite’s version of plasmids), upon finding Elizabeth she will aid you in fighting. The plot itself is a very rich story and I thoroughly recommend picking up any bonus objectives you can and any of the Voxaphone recordings you find to fill out more of the story. (10/10)

Graphics – The graphics in Infinite are the best so far in the series, the graphics are rather stunning throughout the game but the main selling point for Infinite is the gameplay and storyline meaning that while the graphics are brilliant they are not the greatest available. (9/10)

Animations – The animations on the game are great, different methods for killing result in different death animations but my personal favorite are the animations you get from picking up and using Vigors, walk around long enough without firing your gun and the game will remind you which vigor is selected through a small animation on your left hand which is relevant to your current vigor, such as feathers sprouting from your hand when you have the “Murder or Crows” vigor selected. (9/10)

Odd extra content – There is an abundance of references and none game relevant content within this game, ranging from songs such as “Tainted love” playing on some of the speakers to Bioshock 1 & 2 references and references to games in general that amused me greatly, although my favorite has to be on a mission when walking past a “Tear” rock music starts playing, and there is a small dialogue interaction between Elizabeth and Brooker. (10/10)

Interaction – There is a decent amount of interactivity in this game, many boxes and desks can be searched in order to gain money from them but my favorite interactivity is that between Elizabeth and Brooker, now and then she will find coins and items for you and throw them to you, in fights she will often see what you are lowest on and throw you scavenged ammo and salts. (10/10)

Bugs – surprisingly I encounter very few bugs in this game, there are two that stood out to me, early on I killed someone on a ramp using the “Devil’s Kiss” Vigor and their corpse slid down the ramp and disappeared, the second bug that stood out is in one of the final missions, whilst following a ghost the game seemed to fail to pick up on my following, I had to do a few laps of a graveyard before it continued with the mission.

Bioshock Infinite is a well-rounded and generally fantastic game, this game has to be my favorite in the Bioshock series and possibly my favorite single player game in years, hence why I am producing a review for it, I thoroughly recommend this game and I highly recommend playing through on hard for your first play through due to the nature of the ending of the game, playing through a second time is a somewhat ruined (but still fun) experience.

Overall I give this game a rating of 9.6/10
