Today it's the 1st April. And when my Internet connection stopped working yesterday, it felt like the guy who came to fix it was early.

It all started with occasional dropouts in the connection-Skype logged out just to recconect in lickity split. Although it wasn't too bad, it surely bugged me as any obstacle between me and ponies would.

Then suddenly I started hearing voices. Not because of lack of mlp in my brain, as I soon realised, but because there was somepony behind my door. I opened up.

"Hey there, we were just fixing your internet connection. It will work a charm from now on."

Ever since then, my Internet hadn't been having dropouts. The bad thing is it didn't have them, as it didn't work at all.

I gave it some time. At around 4 PM, I called the company.

"Hey there, um, I am just wondering if you would know what is wrong with my internet connection?"

>"I am sorry sir, but we are not aware of any complications. I am there in half an hour."

2 hours later

"Hey there, sorry for bugging you, but... could you please look at it?"

>"Sure, I was juuuust about to leave! :3"

So the guy I was calling comes to my place. He takes a look at the locked case network switches are stored in and asks innocently:

"Who has the key? :3"

"Well... you should have it..." I reply.

"OH! Very well, let me see... Not this, not this one... Hm... I don't have it. But that doesn't matter! :3"

"How come?" I say in confusion

"Well, I don't have a backup switch. I couldn't fix the problem anyway."

"Soo... what shall I do?"

"Don't worry, I will call you tomorrow at... say 9:00?"

*sigh* "Okee Dokie..."

10:15 am

I call the guy and ask him if he is going to do anything about it.

"Sure, I am there in half an hour at max!"

An hour later

He comes to my place once more.

Looks at the locked box and says innocently:

"I don't have the right key."

"Sooo... what now?"

"I must have in car! Hold on for a minute!"

Half an hour later

"I found it!" says he with victorious smile, putting it in the lock.

the lock resists

"Hm... on the second thought..."

He tempers with the lock for a while.

Eventually, he gives up and pulls a giantflank screwdriver out of his bag.

The lock didn't resist for much longer.

"Um... excuse me, do you by any chance have a two way splitter? Because... I couldn't find a big enough network switch, so I brought two small."

I, together with my mum do our best to find a splitter, turning the once cosy flat upside down in process.

Eventually, we find it.

"Nevermind... one of the switches is broken. It wouldn't work anyway."

He unplugs the device and then plugs it in again. It's fixed.

"Hm... it seems to work. if it doesn't, just lockpick this lock with a screwdriver and restart it. :3"

So... it works. For now. :3
