More wise words from Sprocket. Really resonated with me, and I'm sure it will with many others here.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders are on a quest for meaning - purpose. But those are things don't stop when you find your special talent. Your cutie mark is not the whole of your destiny. It is a talent - something special, but all it does is point you in a direction. Set you on a path.

 

Look at Rarity. Her special talent, technically, is finding gems, but she doesn't stop there. Her career, her goals, her drive are all about using that talent to further her creative passions as a fashion designer.

 

Finding your special talent isn't a destination. It's a beginning. Because no matter what it is that you're good at, there are going to be thousands of other who will be good at it too. What makes you special isn't having the talent. It's the ability to bring a little bit of yourself - your passion - into whatever it is you do. Doesn't matter if that passion is writing songs, making socks, drafting legal documents, or baking cookies.

 

Because in Pony, as in life, you just get dealt a hand. It's entirely up to you how you choose to play it.
