Been having this idea of a while now. If you took the time to read all of the tags, you probably have an idea what it is. What I want to depict is filly Twilight Sparkle and colt Shining Armor playfully tickling their mom. Just light-hearted, mischievous play.

 

Problem is, I really do not want to be caught with any pony drawings lying around so I'd have to go through the stress of keeping it secret. Though since I'm on campus, I have more privacy than I would back home so it's really a matter of being able to hide the drawing in-between suspensions and destroy the physical copy once it's scanned.

 

Problem #2, I'm not very skilled at drawing; especially with odd angles and postures. If any of you have seen my drawing of my donkeysona, what jumps out at you is that the angle and posture are quite simple and even that didn't go effortlessly. You can notice some flaws in there as well. Although my gut's telling me to just screw the idea of quality and just focus on putting the idea on paper. It also tells me that a sketch will suffice. The thing is, the only digital means I have to edit and create images is MS Paint. I can hear the tearing of the fabric of space and time all of a sudden.

For the first part, I really don't think it's a huge deal unless you're in a position where people will humiliate and make fun of you always.

 

For the second part, all you have to do is study. By that I mean you should 1. look at the details of other peoples' artwork to figure out how it's done and 2. learn perspective and all that stuff. Then practice it. Study and practice. Practice makes perfect.

If you have an idea and you feel it is indeed worth pursuing, then go for it.  And I think your idea is a cute one worth an attempt.  

 

As far as hiding your work and possibly destroying the physical version, I have to ask if it is truly necessary.  Would you face ridicule or awkward questioning if a drawing was discovered?  One should not have to hide away a part of themselves just to please others, but your situation may be more severe than I am aware.  

 

Now as far as drawing skill, all that takes is practice and dedication.  If you enjoy drawing and wish to get better, there is no other way than pure effort.  But no matter how you may go about it, just be sure to have fun with it!

Bullying is something I've had the misfortune of having to go through before and it taught me early on that people more often than not are d-bags who look for signs of weakness to exploit in others. The more embedded these so-called young adults in the peer culture, the less I can feel they can be trusted and there are plenty of that type here. I will not let my guard down and I will not let myself be naive enough to think they won't turn into mongrels as soon as I'm found out.
