I can no longer defend Qabalah & the cabals who incorporate it
I say this not as a way to separate myself with Kaballah, but as a method to encourage others who are interested in the occult to seek out other forms of mysticism.
Kaballah is certainly a valid form of occult thought; it has been the center of ideologies like Thelema and Judaism, thus giving people access to a form of non-material philosophy which wasn't previously available to the general public.
However there seems to be almost an obsession with Kaballah to the point where we no longer can find anything else a valid form of mysticism. I understand that many groups are centered around the Kaballistic doctrines many forms of worship (Christianity is one) but there needs to be some variation.
Mysticism isn't a single road, it's many roads that eventually lead to the same "truth". If one person takes a path that he or she doesn't like, it will feel the same as reading a book which s/he isn't interested in: boring. It will feel like a job more than a spiritual experience, which is exactly why church seems more like school rather than a place of worship to so many people.
That being said, I'm going to ask all of you who practice Kaballah to encourage all of your "students" to venture into other forms of mysticism. There are SO many paths in the occult, let's not focus on a single one.
