Overanalyzing and Silly Faux Observations of MLP FiM

Okay, there has been one thing on my mind for a duration of my time being active on MLPForums again. Overanalyzing of the TV Show.

For goodness sake, people! What kind of idiots would think these things of a CHILDREN'S TV SHOW?

No. Just, no. What kind of sick imaginations do you people have? Why the hell would you call it an observation, or even make a topic about it if you have no backing evidence or proof. Honestly, these are the same types of people that call out every music artist's videos for supporting Illuminati. Just because they use simple 2D shapes does not mean they're working with Satan. It's the same people that are quick to judge everything and thinks it's all related to Satan.

This pisses me off. It honestly does. All of these unnecessary and dumb topics on MLPForums that do not need to exist. It annoys me how you're trying to start a discussion or a debate without any backing evidence to support your theory. It's like going to a science laboratory and calling Science "fake" just because you don't believe in it. It's like buying a lamborghini without paying for it at the dealership's because you say you're a millionaire.

It makes no sense, and you wouldn't do it without proof.

Sorry for this crappy blog post, I just wanted to state my opinion on almost 50% of the topics being posted on MLPForums that aren't RP, art, or something related to the media.

This.

This though.

Honestly, if you looked at that topic, you'd see how serious it's being taken  Just go read some of the posts. Even the OP is joking about it.

As for the claims of "over-analyzing," I feel I spoke it best in these 2 quotes from said topic, when someone else said something similar:

I mean, just so you know, I'm one of those ones who likes analyzing the show, and I do agree that people get too nit-picky sometimes, but honestly...it's getting irritating to go over to every show discussion topic and see someone whining about what we say and telling us to stop analyzing the show and be chill about it. I mean, it's kinda forcing their views onto others, which is wrong, you know? I have no problem with people wanting to be relaxed about the way they view the show, but it's kinda contradictory to say that they're relaxed about the show and then complain endlessly that people aren't relaxed about the show.  :P

I mean, no problem with you or anything, you seem like a cool dude/chick and all, but yeahh  :D The constant complaining of this sorts is getting annoying, though I've never seen it from you  :D

If you wanna be chill about it, be chill. That's fine.

It's not chill to try and make everyone change the way they do things just because you don't like the way they do things, you know?  :D

Again, I'm not speaking about you, because I've never seen you say that, but I hope you can see what I mean here  :D

Yeahh, if they try to force you do to do it, than I can see how that's irritating. It goes like that on both sides, sometimes, but it seems to be more prevalent on the "chill bronies" side. Honestly, I think the complaining about analyzing is becoming a sort of "All the cool kids are doing it, so I will too" sort of thing. Like, yesterday, there was a topic I posted on about yesterday's episode, and why I disliked it, as that was the topic "Is anyone else disappointed in today's episode?"

So, out of nowhere, this dude comes in, and complains that we don't view the show the right way, and that we need to lower our expectations, all that jazz. For no reason, it was off topic, had barely anything to do with the episode, just how we were wrong, all that.

Sad thing is, he got a star by that post, for "popular."

It's kinda like some christians telling people who are gay they're wrong for being gay, and that's something that pisses off the majority of this community, I'll bet.

And on our side, the ones I don't like are the ones who complain to complain or to try and look smart. I'm not going to stand up for that. It just irritates me when I'm told I don't enjoy the show because I share my disappointments in certain aspects, you know?

So...yeahh :D

You have a point about the stallions being slaves part but I don't think the "season of clop" one was meant to be taken entirely seriously. The posts of most of the people there aren't entirely serious including mine.

"Stop liking things I don't like!"

Seriously, though. Does it matter if people try to analyze the show? So what if none of it is confirmed. Headcanon is fun.

Well, that's good to hear, then. I was hoping that people wouldn't take it seriously, but it annoys me how people actually do.

Headcanon isn't fun when you make topics intended for discussion and you don't back up your opinion.

Well, I don't see how that hurts or affects you. You can easily ignore, and if you have a good reason to disagree then go over there and tell them :D

You're taking this too seriously. I doubt anybody actually believes any of these analyzations.

I don't know, there are some silly people out there, I just really find it irritating how they make all these ridiculous topics that contribute nothing to MLPForums or discussion. I mean, this is one of the reasons why I barely ever post on topics other than for music critique or visual art praise.

I'll just... copy...paste..

Personally I think it's a bit unnecessary to over-analyze a kid's show, though I don't care if people do it. I just think it's funny to read those posts haha. Especially when it's funny threads.

I have some friends who over analyze the show, and it's kind of annoying. They come up with all of these theories, and they really do believe some of them are true. (Even though they're not canon, they're just theories).
