Rant - What Burns My Bacon

Here is something annoying. Hidden buttons on devices. What is the obsession with hiding buttons? Here are some examples: I rarely use Mac computers. One time I was using a Mac and it had a mouse with no visible buttons. I knew it had at least one button. Then my friend told me it had a left and right click. How was I supposed to know? It was one solid piece of plastic. There was no indication that there was a left and right button. I had a Sansa mp3 player. It had a rotating wheel to

Noctuna, Evenide, and Diurna (OCs)

The backstory of these characters take place in alternate universe, you can get the basic idea of that universe here: https://mlpforums.com/blogs/entry/25250-solar-silver-oc/     Over thousand years ago, a group of skilled unicorns were called to the castle of the two sisters, there they would face a change to their lives that none of them had even imagined. They were told that a great danger was threatening Equestria, and that they would be the ones to save it, it was not to

Pop Tarts Mister E

These are gross! I don't recommend them!  Well if you're like me you won't listen but don't say I didn't warn you. I don't know what the flavor is. They're something savory mixed with the usual sweetness of pop-tarts. There's definitely cream cheese and some kind of spices. Though it's not hot at all maybe I'm tasting some jalapeno? The best guess I've seen online based on one of the clues they give is everything bagel with cream cheese. I like everything bagels but this was disgusting

Episode 82 - Half-Assed CGI

Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  Half-assed CGI. No, I'm talking about the Scorpion King's head.  I'm talking about cheap, cheesy, slapped together 3D cartoons that are a dime a dozen.  I hate that stuff. In an attempt to satisfy my hunger for more cute, colorful, feminine cartoons like Pony, I decided to give Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir on Netflix a shot.  Immediately I could tell that it was one of these half-assed CGI cartoons.  The movements are jerky and

Episode 81 - Foreign Stuff on Netflix

Alright, alright, easy, there.  Just cool your jets, chief.  This isn't what you probably think it is.  Just let me explain. Y'know what really grinds my gears?  When I see something I want to watch on Netflix, so I hit play, and then a few minutes in the actors start talking, and only then do I realize--it's not in English!  Just subtitled. Okay, now I have to take a detour.  See, I hate subtitles.  Can't watch anything with 'em.  This isn't some kind of xenophobic or racist thing, so

Gender? I hardly know 'er!

Dunno why I'm saying this here, I barely use this site anymore,, but I feel like I should get this off my chest somewhere. Might make it easier to say IRL, I guess. At least might let me get to sleep.   I don't even know what I am now. For years I've identified as a bisexual man, then it was bisexual non-binary. But I have these feelings and thoughts that make me think otherwise.    Since I was a kid I've wished I were a girl, but I didn't think too much of it then, I figured

Be Still, My Soul (FINLANDIA) Organ Music Video

Here is my Organ Music Video of Jean Sibelius' FINLANDIA (in the form of the well-known Christian hymn, Be Still, My Soul), as played on a temperamental (yet still great) 2-manual pipe organ. I've been obsessed with this piece for some time and has become one of my many favourite hymns, so I figured I should make a music video of me performing it for once. I would be happy to perform this multiple times in the future. Enjoy. Video recorded on location at Hebron Christian Reformed Ch

Drought I

This entry does not really have any format.   To start off, drought isn't uncommon for our area, but droughts of nature like this usually happen rarely, the last time was in the 1980s, before that roughly the 1950s or 1960s or the 1970s depending on your area, before that the 1930s, before that it sounded like the 1910s had one and then the 1890s and possibly the 1880s or 1860s. Historically the last decade or so has been above average for precipitation.  The winter of 2018 starte
