      Welcome to the MLP Forums April 2024 Visual Art contest

      Visual Art contests will start every other month. In some months there may be a theme, and that may be a character, a general emotion, holiday, or prompt.

      The theme for this month is:

      Pets!

      Requirements

      Create artwork focusing on the official pet(s) of any canon characters (no OC's!) in the franchise (any generation allowed)


      Canon characters may be in the artwork too, but the main focus should be on the pet(s)


      When submitting, please say which pet(s) are represented so we can confirm they are official pet(s) of characters




      All members of MLPF are eligible including staff


      No AI art will be accepted, however it can be used for initial inspiration




       

      Deadline

      Submissions will close on April 25th, 2024.

       

      Judging

      Voting will be open from April 26th - 30th, 2024. Afterwards, voting will be finalized and results will be posted as soon as we are able to share them.

       

      Winners

      Winners will be granted the Canterlot Artist Rank and Badge. All entries will be eligible to receive an Art Achievement Bronze Badge. Future participation will count toward Silver and Gold Art Badges.

      What's that Gummy? Gummy says that was a clever pun! He was even looking out for Cloudsdale. I think his head is in the clouds. Gummy found that joke hilarious that his jaw dropped. I think even he would be shocked too, but snakes are so friendly with some party music!   Oooh~! It looks like Gummy is really enjoying the show! Lots of puns, fun filled laughter, eggs and snails! Yippee! Gummy thought that was a really funny joke! I think the moment he heard my name being mentioned, he went to bite my tail. Such an adorable alligator.   I think Gummy got a kick out of that joke.  I guess you could call that a hair raising experience. Oooh~! Gummy thought that was an interesting joke. This is the first time he's heard of it, but it sounded really unique. Woohoo!!! Cheese puns! **Pinkie kisses Gummy on his snout** Gummy thought that they were both great and hilarious cheese related puns!   We've got even more cheese puns! **Pinkie smiles as she pulls Gummy into a hug** At least Gummy thinks that as he thought that was cheesy, but a funny pun.  Oooh~! Gummy thought that was a funny and clever pun.   I think he's wondering what @Prince Rutherford thought of that pun.  It looks like Gummy is breaking out into a celebration! Multiple puns one after the other! It looks like Gummy is rocking and rolling with laugher! Gummy thought that was hilarious and I think he's curious about that too. He's truly in suspense.  Even I'm starting to become curious as what would a Kirin's favorite meal would be. Oooh~! It looks like we have ourselves lots and lots of ice puns! Gummy wanted to dress up for a warm welcome!   He found the puns very funny and a great way to break the ice. What's that Gummy? Gummy thought that your joke was pretty clever and funny!   I still remember that the other Pinkie's and I had to sit and watch paint dry. I tell you we were a tough nut to crack. Woohoo!!! Even more rock puns to enjoy! Gummy's sides are rocking and rolling from laughter! He really enjoyed your puns!

      Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Orange Edition.

         Feel free to leave a video request. Your video will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry!   
      Sometimes I wonder if I should just make posting these on Monday a regular thing...  For those wondering, this is late because of a movie, and some other personal business. Don't worry about it, my crowd.
       The biggest thing that happened in the week before was an amazing announcement... Space Cop Jiban is now up for preorder!  The Japanese show that may have inspired Robocop can now be enjoyed internationally! And we also saw the release of another episode of Elements of Justice. It's good, but it really makes me anxious to see what happens next in the courtroom.
       There was also some trailers. I am looking forward to Transformers One more than most of the live action movies. As a fan of ponies, I am somewhat interested in Thelma. I at least have some interest, which is more than I can say for Season 2 of Velma. 
       Tried a new kind of soda known as Olipop. It's mostly just juice. If you must try it, go for the Watermelon flavor. It's better than the Tropical Punch flavor.  Also tried Gold Peak Green Tea. It's basically Lipton Green Tea, without the Citrus.
       MOVIE TIME!  I recently saw Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom! Going into this movie, I wasn't sure what to expect. The DCEU/Snyderverse is ending and this may very well be the last entry into that universe. Kind of hard to get into an ending, especially one that doesn't even feel like a conclusive ending. I could only hope that it would be worth ending on, despite some behind-the-scenes drama. In some ways, the movie starts out as if we're watching the 3rd or final movie in a series, despite this being only the 2nd one. There were moments where Aquaman tried to be as wild and as fun as Ironman, yet there were moments where they tried to play it like a traditional Aquaman story (even though I miss the giant kaiju-style from the first one...). There were slow moments, great moments... It was neither bad nor good. It was just perfectly fine 2nd movie faire. It carries the excitement of the first, but sets up greater things in case of a 3rd. A third that probably won't happen. But I suppose you could say the ending with the promise of a better, more hopeful future is a nice ending as well. It might not be a spectacle, but it is poetically sweet.
       BoonBoom 07: Orange Peel Out?  So the big thing about this episode was seeing the debut of BoonOrange. While it was nice, the rest of the episode just felt completely random. Hilarious in places, but random none the less. And just as I thought, I may need to see one more episode before I hang up this show after all.
       Gotchard 31: Gaining Juliet.  ...It was okay. It was kind of lame they had a fake-out death scene in the beginning that amounted to nothing. It was a weird way allude to what was to come, which was way better. I love seeing Platinum Gotchard and Majade working together. Not much else to say except the episode was just okay.
