I've tried to import a gif image as my avatar, but it doesn't move what so ever, it's just a still image.

And btw, this is not the first time this happens

If I'm correct, the easiest way to explain this would be this way. When uploading a gif file onto your computer 1: Make sure it's 150x150, or the other sizes you can use. 2: Make sure that you save the file as (enter file name here).gif and 3: When uploading onto your avatar, once again, make sure it's 150x150 pixels. After all this, it should work.

Did you try refreshing the page? Sometimes it doesn't start giffing until the page has been refreshed. Also, is the file saved as a gif? The default for photoshop is often a .png.

Yes this happened to me a while back, and has happend to me with my signature recently I think it may be because the gif file is bigger than the file size limit, I am not that sure, but it is a guess.

Hello Soundgarden, I have noticed that you have not yet changed your avatar to your animated image? If the image is above 100 kilobytes, then this may cause your issue as well.

If you need some help getting it to fit, then please upload it in response to this topic and we can help you out with it. :)

It's under 100 Kb, so that's not the issue, however I can't resize gifs, no clue how to do that. Thanks for offering your help, however, if resizing it is difficult/a pain, then you don't have to do it since the difference between my current avatar and the gif are slim

Thanks :)

Snip

I've gone ahead and resized it for you, this is what I got.

If you ever need to resize/edit a GIF in the future, this would be the place to go.
