@Candytheponie, things like emoticons don't work on Status Updates due for their different function. About pictures, you can always share the link of the picture directly, which will become an hyperlink that can be clicked by those that see it.

I have a question about that. Usually when I put links in my statuses, it just shows up as texts and not a hyperlink? Is it because they're too long or something, or do I need to HTML code in the statuses? Thanks!

It's because of the latter, as without the HTML code, they are treated as text. This happens when you post too:

Observe how they are the same link, but because the latter lacks the 'http', it's treated as text. This effect happens on the status updates too, as you saw yourself.

Hi again, see there's still an issue for me in the status: here's one I made earlier (which would interest you as 'devoted shipper')

 

"Wow there's even a wedding photo someone made on DeviantArt. People never cease to amaze me. http://orig12.deviantart.net/2c56/f/2014/286/d/d/spitfire_and_braeburn_wedding_by_3d4d-d82pqii.png"

 

When the status appeared, it's plain text and not html...does that have to do with it having an image link and not a webpage link?

That's weird. I tried myself to see if it would work properly, and it did for me. Are you sure you are pasting the link properly?

Ah, I see the issue. It doesn't become a link if it's in a RESPONSE to someone else's status, which is what this originally was, and where I've ran into the trouble before.

Yeah, I've been watching your status update.

Keep on mind that it will only be treated as an hyperlink if it is YOUR status update. If it is a response, it will be always treated as a text, no matter the circumstances.
