  1. Effective today we will start releasing the new rank badges, and the first new addition to the rank badge system in years is Reformed Changeling This is unlocked now my reaching 1500 posts, basically the rank after Evil Changeling. This is requiring some adjustment to the surrounding ranks so post count requirements will be adjusted to allow the new ranks to be added. Since some of the users have already passed this threshold several times over, we have decided to make this the default badge for a a few days, something that we will do for each new rank announced, culminating in the 10,000 post rank. When all ranks have been added we will start working on the process to allow users to move down to other rank badges if they prefer to stay at a specific rank. This was one of the MCM stretch goals and I'm glad we can start revealing these now.
  2. This is the thread to talk about your experiences of BC and what it meant. Linking to blogs is also acceptable. Mine will come in a day as I need to find the proper words to describe the indescribable. I’ll share this small thing. You know why you came when a friend looks you in the eye with tears welling and says how they feel about your friendship with an earnest and sincere outpouring of love. This happened as I bid farewell to @Troblems who epitomized all five elements of harmony on this trip. The individual and three way embraces that were shared were a cap on a such a magnificent week that I’m still going to smile and cry each time I think back on this moment ... a simple 60 seconds that will be felt for my entire life. Small things can have a high impact and penetrate the soul.
  3. Title: A Trivial Pursuit Air Date: August 17, 2019 Written By: Brittany Jo Flores Synopsis: Twilight's hopes of keeping her Trivia Trot winning streak alive are waylaid when she is paired up with Pinkie Pie, who has never been to a trivia night before.
  4. Something's gone wrong on the site (or IRL). And it's all @Jeric's fault! Now what did he do? Ex: the famdom is dying! And it's all his fault! You're turn.

I joined this website to mostly do art requests while I job hunt and maybe make friends. other than mlp I like horror, video games, and food. if you have any questions feel free to ask! I'm very happy to be here
  7. i actually really liked this episode, yes Twilight was acting weird, but it's part of her character to go nuts on such stuff, making extensive lists of everything and being consumed by something so much that she can't see further(just like she ignored her family's visit to make the pudding on the special) seeing some secondary characters take spots instead of having all of the mane 6 was a great touch, and while i'd love to see Trixie take part aswel, i can't complain for the variety they had, the other nitpick i have is how they said taking score was so bad that it scarred Starlight, then proceded to have spike breeze through it without any problems it was a quiet episode, not progressing the main plot alot but those are some of the best ones, it was fun throughout so it gets a 9/10 from me
  8. You know I'm going to do something different and give some slight praises and little nitpicks in the story execution. Mostly because I'm pretty neutral on the episode, mostly because humorous episodes like this are subjective. The first one is Twilight's first chart: Twilight's surprised at Pinkie showing up yet this chart seems to indicate that Mudbriar, Cranky, and Sunburst are also first timers and should have thrown her statistics out of wack. However we get this second chart which does accommodate for each character yet: There's a bunch of background characters like Daisy and Golden Crust and Cranky still isn't on there, also the layout the chart doesn't make sense for pairing as it's 11x6, also also it's interesting to note Twilight sees her best chances of winning when paired with Applejack if I'm even reading it right! However back to Sunburst. Both his line of saying that he didn't come down from the Crystal Empire plus his exclusion from Twilight's first list really makes it seem like this is his first time here at Trivia Trot. But then he's the one to talk about how Starlight used to do score keeping like he's been to this event before. Okay quick detour but here I actually want to praise Ms. Flores for is her ability to write characters out of episodes that they would make sense in. She did it for Spike in Once Upon a Zepplin and now here for Starlight. Giving her a logical reason to hate trivia events is such a smart move to even keep her out of being a background character at the event since she is just about as learned as many of the characters but now we know why she's not here. Now back to the nitpicks because then there's Mudbriar who also wasn't on the original chart yet we get clear evidence that he's at these competitions when there's complaints about Maud and him being paired up for the third time. And about that, with all the convoluted rules, how is that not a rule?! Like why wouldn't there be a rule about such a chance. It would be easy to write in just say there's a rule "that unless you are the last team picked, you're not allowed to have the same partner twice in a row." Then just make Maud and Mudbriar the last team picked instead. This could have even up upped the comedy by Twilight starting to lose it calculating the possibility getting Pinkie when there's still the chance of Maud or Mudbriar; start the mental degradation early. And then there's the rule that gets Pinkie disqualified, because she asks a question about sticks and stones to Maud, but that was already after Maud answered the question correctly for that category so wouldn't any questions about the category be void. Like we never see repeat categories read off so how is she really eliminated at that time in the competition? Finally for now one last thing is how are Cranky and Matilda putting themselves in the pool if it's all cutie marks on the papers? Do they draw their heads? Why can't everyone just draw their head? The animators already have clear reference for head sketches so it's not like it's extra work. Anyway, this was fun little distraction to an episode I didn't have much to contribute to review-wise.
  9. Title: The Last Laugh Air Date: August 3, 2019 Written By: Michael P. Fox & Wil Fox Synopsis: Pinkie Pie seeks help out her old friend, Cheese Sandwich, in finding her life's purpose. Watch live and chat with us on EquestriaTV in the CMC Clubhouse!
  10. Supposedly, Discovery Family Go has released a new Equestria Girls CYOA short called Costume Conundrum, but we've only got screencaps for one of the endings, plus the short is not appearing on the app. https://www.equestriadaily.com/2019/08/new-equestria-girls-short-costume.html#more
  11. This is a call for everyone who might be interested, but I'm also pinging @Shiki, @Meson Bolt, @Renegade the Unicorn, @SparklingCaps, @TheRockARooster, @DripMoondrop and @Xeltor from the Show Us Your Voice thread. that's what you get for stepping out in the open with your voices and talent and all that stupid stuff Basically, I'm working on a fic reading and I would love it if I could get folks to help out. While the story's mostly a split of drab questioning and internal monologues, there's a lot of small parts that would benefit from, well, vocal variety. SparklingCaps has already chipped in with some of the character roles, but I say the more the merrier! The fic in question is Pony, Please, an extremely loose crossover with the Papers Please game that leans heavily away from being depressing and runs straightforward into outright satire. And I bet at least some of you are thinking "bluh bluh, I have no talent" or "my microphone sucks" and yeah, you sound great. I'm just sayin'. Here's a list of roles in the story that haven't been recorded yet - again, most of those are small ones with barely {or less than, really} a handful of lines if anyone's worried about the scope of the roles. You're more than welcome to grab more than one character, too and I'll fill in anyone that ends up unclaimed. Abdul Raj - Male, speaks in poor/broken English. Two lines total. Maybe Arabic accent, but all the countries are fictional so... Mia Romero - Female, sounds like Spanish, given a couple of words? About half a dozen lines. Caramel - Male. Nondescript voice. A few lines. Arbery Jack - Male, nondescript voice. A loudmouth schnook. Bunch of small lines. Conspiracy Dude - Male, wheezy voice. Three lines in total. Unnamed Roslian Dude - Nondescript voice. I'm pegging Roslia as American-ish, but it's open to interpretation. Four lines total. Two CMCs, not named, one line each. Johnny - Male, nondescript voice. Single short line. A. K. Yearling - About a dozen lines. Likk Ay - [Emerald <3] Female, enthusiastic, about half a dozen short lines. Twinkleshine - Female. Voice is kinda squeaky maybe? Really, she has like two lines in the whole show. Nuirn Hert - Male, nondescript, Roslian. Two lines total. Mrs Hert - Female, nondescript, Roslian. Two lines total. Sinv Looper - Male, freaked-out paranoid {or IS HE?}, Roslian. Bunch of lines. Kilana Mutt - Female. Totally not Chrysalis, what are you talking about? About three lines. Sunh Loonh - Male, Slavic accent. Handful of lines. Sapphire Rose - Female, Crystal Pony. Bunch of lines. Luna - Second-Best Princess. Bunch of lines. Bob - Male, nondescript. Single short line. Guard 1: Male, Slavic accent. A few lines. Guard 2: Male {maybe? The story doesn't actually specify...}, Slavic accent. A few lines. Aaand that's it. Here's also a handy-dandy color-coded PDF of the story with highlights of various characters' dialogues for easier picking-out. Pony, Please.pdf Would anyone be interested in chipping in? Again, please do not worry about quality, either of your own voices or your microphone - this isn't a professional production, just a little project for fun {although I'd also love more help with future ones too... just sayin' and why is there no picture of Vegeta in a judge wig anywhere on the internet?} Cheers!
  12. Title: 2,4,6, Greaaat Air Date: August 10, 2019 Written by: Kaita Mpambara Synopsis: “Rainbow Dash is shocked to learn she isn’t coaching for the School of Friendship’s new buckball team.” Watch live and chat with us at the CMC Clubhouse!
  13. A Polish listings site is listing a holiday special titled Holiday Unwrapped for a September 22 premiere on a Polish channel called Teletoon+ (no relation to the Canadian Teletoon). I know it was reported before that Boulder Media wasn't working on new Equestria Girls material, but all that was said was that they "currently" working on new EG material, so it's possible this was already finished by the time that was reported. https://programtv.naziemna.info/program/audycja/My+Little+Pony:+Equestria+Girls+Holiday+Unwrapped
  14. This is where I'm at as well. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect more out of season 9, but even disregarding the fact that it's the final season, it still feels pretty underwhelming
  15. To fix the truck you must become one with the truck
  16. I think the biggest mistake the writers are doing currently, is writing about the Main 6 as main characters with flaws, instead of mentors with inspiration for the younger up comers of Equestria such as the Student 6. Instead we get the "Student 6 taught Rainbow Dash and Applejack to work together", "Yona doing everything right, but Rarity & Co doesn't understand, and makes her cry in the end", and of course the latest "Smolder has a grown up talk with Rainbow Dash". And Twilight? The soon new ruler of Equestria, who doesn't really seem to be the right choice. She's freaking out about anything, and she is being too competitive and ignoring friends until the last minute. Still, all her episodes with Spike lately have been pretty entertaining and not so bad, so maybe she is the easiest to write about?
  17. Making them learn lessons they already learned yearts ago, or have a behavior totally contrary to how they were some another episode, are the two most classic pitfalls
  18. Hi there everypony, I hope to enjoy my time here!!
  19. Oh, there's a number of fast food retailer outlets where I live We have Macca's (McDonald's), Hungry Jacks (A.K.A the Australian version of Burger King) , Red Rooster, KFC, a number of chinese food restaurants and I think we have either a Domino's or a Pizza Hut
  20. It was a really fun episode. I enjoyed the twilighting, the callbacks and references and the trivia event in general. The only small problem for me was the fact that some of the competitors didn’t get any lines, although I liked almost all of the duos and it would have been great if each team got their spotlight. Also, I never really cared about TwiPie, but now… they are my favorite trivia team!
  21. And it’s not gonna be a Pinkie episode either. Just let the guy speculate for Christ’s sake
  22. OP and others already said all I was going to say. I'll just give a few brohooves and move on. EDIT: In episodes where Twilight is the main focus and has some end-all plot the cartoon has a tendency of treating Twilight's friends as though they are a single unit.
  23. How much did Twi care for her in return? If you go to a game night with random teams and players, you better assume each of them has their own way to play the game and you can't dictate on them to play for the win (or even being able to do so).
