Forums are buggy yet again.

I sent an alert to the opsponies including a link to this very status. Thanks for mentioning you're experiencing a problem (though as an FYI for the future, Site Questions would generally be likelier to get seen as status updates drop off the front page pretty quickly).
Unfortunately, everyone who'd be able to investigate this is either sleeping or otherwise occupied by their "real lives" at the moment so it might be a few hours before someone can; this happens when we lack the funding for professional staff.

Aside from my profile, this site is taking forever to load. I’ll be back when the site is less annoying for me.
(It’s probably an internet thing and not a site thing by the way)

When I saw @Sparklefan1234 about the forum's founder, @Twilight Sparkle ✨ visiting someone's page, I think I felt the same. Probably a bit excited and honored to see the founder checking up on me

So I noticed when making a purchase on the commissions, my address is an old, old, old address.. how do I update that?

This is a really good question. And thanks for supporting both artists and the site with your commissions!
FYI, the Site Questions and Tech Support Desk forums are the best places to ask questions about MLPF's functionality as they're actively monitored by admins and other staff who are familiar with the intricacies of our software. Status updates can get lost very easily but someone happened to bring this one to my attention so I'm happy to address it here.
Now, for the actual answer: there should be a step in the checkout flow, like in the following screenshot, which allows you to update your billing address:
Do you recall seeing anything like it during your last order? I'd appreciate if you could describe what the steps looked like during your last checkout.
I want to say that we also should have a way to update your billing info outside the checkout process but I couldn't find it so I'll poke around to see if I can do something about that.

Woke up at 5 AM, can't sleep, so I am checking out the forums.
Glad to know some people here feel the same way I do about the upcoming G5, and how a good number of us are kinda trying to stay with G4.
I am trying my hardest to keep an open mind about this, but I do miss the excitement of whenever a new episode came out.
I seriously feel depressed about this whole thing right now, almost feel like crying.
But I shouldn't be this obsessed over a TV show.
-
Nothing will ever take G4 away from us. It's been released and its show completed. Hasbro can't take it back even if they wanted to. It earned its place in internet and cartoon history, and it'll have a special place in my heart forever. I imagine MLPF will be a home for it forever too. Even if we end up being super "into" G5 as a site, I expect we won't forget about our G4 roots and we'll aim to make it fun for fans of both to coexist here in the name of love for fantastical sapient equines in general. If you don't end up liking G5, perhaps it would help to think of it as a really ambitious fanfiction that you might see a lot of (think Fallout: Equestria), not particularly care for yourself, but with whose fans you'll still be able to enjoy the concept of pony with?
I've been mentally treating G5 as a continuation of G4 with a long timeskip in between. To me, that makes it emotionally feel like the excitement of a new episode or season that we know is coming. I have reason to believe that Hasbro's creative teams are putting in an A effort to build on what made G4 successful while respectfully giving closure to G4. As bittersweet as the end of official G4 content is, if there's any silver lining to it, it's that they can't ruin it either. We can see the Mane6 again any time we want by rewatching FiM or exploring everything its fandom created - and continues to create!! - until the end of time. Nothing can take them away from us.
The best possible outcome I see is that instead of having just one grand pony saga to love, we'll have two! G1-G3 notwithstanding - I'm talking about those of us who became MLP fans through G4 and didn't get hooked by the earlier generations. Add to your "grand pony sagas to love" count accordingly if you're a fan of those gens too.

I kinda wonder if Hasbro is sitting here monitoring this site and Fimfiction now going "come on, come on, we need a story for our movie and series and we've got every thing else ready, but we're running out of time, come on, come up with something good"
I also wonder why they haven't licensed/used/stole fanfiction yet too. Seems like a decent idea. Then again I'm not a businessman.
But the thought of strategically leaking just enough of G5 to the community to get it going, to use what the community comes up with...is amusing for some reason.

@TheGleaner The G5 forum would be great for this!

I'm glad to hear you two like it! Please feel free to post your thoughts in the feedback section if you have any ideas about how this feed could work better.I'm curious to hear what you two think as well!

Clicking it brings up the relatively new "Unread Pony Content" content stream. The "Pony Activity" option in its submenu goes to the same place - I placed it in there for mobile users who can't tap the top-level item.
This stream meant to show you fresh pony content you haven't seen before, all in the spirit of finding more pony stuff to enjoy and threads to post in! An alternative or complement to trawling the forum hierarchy directly when all you know is you're in the mood for something pony and you wanna see something new.
I'm curious to hear what y'all think of it! The feed might need some fine-tuning but I see potential in it is an alternative way of starting a browsing session on MLPF that exposes you to more novelty than your usual usage patterns might.

I love your ‘About Me’ page.

@Rikifive This one's leftover from the event. For some reason I never felt right about the idea of removing her.

It's kinda sad:
The guy made this banner and now it's finally used and he himself waasnt on since 2016, until hes a lurker he might neverknow it's in use now.

@TheGleaner@Splashee This status update would be really interesting, probably amusing too, as a forum thread. I'd love to see what comes of it in that form. May I suggest you make it into one? Copypasting your OP from here would be fine.

I love your ‘About Me’ page.

I seem to keep putting off finishing FiM, because I am afraid of being sad the moment I finish it.
It is such a good cartoon, and I hate that it ended, but at the same time, glad that it is not continuously going on, like the Simpsons is right now.
-
You're not alone in that boat. I always kept up with the episodes as they came out and the final one was no exception. I cried during the last few minutes of the last episode but it was more tears of joy and nostalgia and gratitude than anything else. An intense emotional experience of reflecting on this ride I've been on for about ten years, to be sure, but it's an emotional experience I don't regret for a nanosecond.
I'm quite satisfied with the ending - they took care in ending the show with dignity, resolving many plotlines while also leaving various elements open-ended enough for fanon and G5 to build on. Watching it gave me a lot of closure.
Another way to look at it: fear and sadness are both negative emotions. The fear will weigh on you forever until you face the thing it's about and get to the other side. Then the fear will go away. Forever. You'll never again be afraid of the moment you finish the show once you've finished the show.
The sadness of the moment isn't a sure thing but even if you do experience it that way, it won't weigh you down forever the way that avoiding something you fear does - you will be able to cherish and rewatch FiM as many times as you want, and as much or as little of it as you want, forever. You'll be free to think and talk about the series in its entirety. And you'll be able to take personal satisfaction in finishing something you started. In having been there for the entire ride. Which puts you in a great spot to hop onto another with a clear conscience - like G5.
It's not so different from finishing a good book - the book won't stop being good just because you reached the end (and heh, people even get very annoyed when a book's author publishes it as they go but then abandons the project before finishing it). This video of a therapist analyzing the Pixar movie Inside Out goes into a lot of depth on how we'd actually go insane if we didn't experience the emotion of sadness - that, even if it's unpleasant, it's an emotion that's critical for finding closure and moving forward with our lives. It analyzes the other emotions, Joy, Fear, and Anger, and their value in the sentient experience as well.

I will say that the MLPF banners being made lately have been amazing quality and really well done.
-
@Samurai Equine: Amazon US carries an official burn-on-demand DVD release. It's the highest-quality release of MLaaTR I know of - about as high as the technical limits of DVDs allow, if memory serves. I'm quite satisfied with my copies of the set.

I like the new banner art. A ponified Jenny is cute.
Who else watch My Life as a Teenage Robot?

Jenny's character, for a start, has a lot in common with key aspects of Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash, who are among my favourite ponies.
The show overall, despite revolving mostly around humans in Ohio, feels like a pretty good escape into an alternate universe disconnected from our own reality with enough lore of its own to get the imagination thinking and relatively few ties to the "lore" of the real Earth.
There's compelling character development throughout if one pays attention, similar to FiM; Jenny's own story is a tale of great personal growth.
Jenny herself manages to be a compelling character despite being ludicrously overpowered, and her design is also one of the most adorable things ever - she has a lot in common with FiM's art style, like huge eyes and cone-like limbs that are wider at their ends than the base, that I find squee-worthy cute.
So much to love!
