Correct on that - I'd actually rather love for there to be more character exploration and such, and wouldn't mind some darker themes so long as they didn't drown things out completely - which is what I'd be worried about, to be honest. I'm probably a bit overly pessimistic, but I fear that if such changes were attempted they would be implemented in such a way that goes beyond what is needed for the sake of giving the series a breath of fresh air, and instead go far enough that it cuts into the overall charm of the series as it presently exists. Basically, I'd prefer cautious steps taken toward a new direction, rather than a blind running leap into God knows what. Bingo, heh. -

I don't disagree at all with that at all - I'd just prefer to see them go at it in a different direction. In my eyes, they would be taking the easy way out by jumping on the 'serious, gritty, hardcore, mature' bandwagon - I'd much rather that they challenge themselves by mixing things up in some other way. We have too many games that chase after those themes as it is. Not everything needs to make that particular leap is my thought, is all. -

Ugh, no. What would a "mature" Zelda game bring to the table? As far as I'm concerned, the games are already more mature than most of the Rated M nonsense that makes up the bulk of our AAA offerings these days. All of which is done quite comfortably within the existing limitations of the series. I'm not interested at all, for some of the very same reasons that I enjoy Friendship is Magic so much - not everything needs to be mature or gritty. -

ohey, I remember this thread I haven't done much in the way of Zelda gaming lately (been meaning to finish Skyward Sword, but lent my Wii to my parents :V), but I did recently attend Portland's Symphony of the Goddesses concert, and purchased Hyrule Historia. Additional merchandise may be acquired in the near future. :3

Having done a tiny bit of Japanese study on my own (using a hand picked selection of language learning software, videos, tutorials, and flash card software), I have to say that it really is kind of fun to learn. I found the syntax and such to be very interesting, but ended up losing motivation as my interest in things like anime started to wane a bit. Still, I can recommend it.

To the best of my knowledge no admin or staff member has ever bullied anyone into leaving over something as petty as having a similar username. I can say with complete certainty that any admin or staff member that did try to start bullying any members here in any way would find themselves fired very quickly. That said, welcome to MLP Forums. I hope you enjoy your time here more than you did the previous forum you were on. -

Option to hide administrators, moderators, and stewards signatures

What manner of nons-------- Yeah, I never even realized that this was prevented at all. Seems a bit goofy, to be honest. Can see about getting it looked into, but I don't know that we'll be able to give it any sort of priority given that it's a fairly minor thing overall. You like mine, right? Right? -
Unfortunately given how IP.Board works, there's no real way to have a continuous and uninterrupted music stream embedded into the site - any stream would have to stop and start every time you navigated from one page to another. I don't know about you, but I tend to jump from page to page pretty rapidly with few interruptions. Thankfully this shouldn't pose that much of a problem - to work around it you need only open a separate Pony.FM tab and let stream music from there.

We had one in the past, actually. It was one of a number of services that we brought on, had around for a while, and ultimately discarded because we didn't feel that it was a good fit for us. There has been some talk of considering alternative ideas that would serve similar purposes while being more manageable and providing better functionality, but we don't have anything to report at the moment.
