It's funny how I actually agree with sugar here.

It's a simple banner and people go all crazy as if it was a masterpiece.

The same with that "fluttershy smoothie vector" PonyEcho made, it's like quite a bad vector even though I gets more brohoofs than all of my vectors have gotten together just because its cute..

Cute, yet unoriginal. :T I hate hate hate unoriginality. Those smoothie things get tons of brohoofs, like you said, but really, it's not hard to take a pre-made pose and apply a new mane, eyes, and etc. to it in a vectoring program. Like my Sugar Plum vectors for my avatar were both just traces with a bit of editing to them to make them a bit more unique, and when people said that it was really good, I said it was just a trace, because it wasn't really "mine". :U
