    I'm thinking about uninstalling windows 7 and install the Zorin OS which is a modified verision of the Lunux Ubuntu that changes the look of ubuntu to a similar look of windows 7. It is 4x faster than W7. What do you think guys?

      You can try using a live disc to see how it runs on your computer without installing it.

       

      I can't tell you whether or not it's right for you because you have different requirements for your OS than me. If you honestly think your computer is so slow that you need a new OS for it to run properly and Linux meets your expectations, then I think it's worth a shot. Just make sure you have back up discs and take precautions in case something goes wrong.

      I'm just saying, from me and my friend's comparison on his computer, Ubuntu was way faster than Windows. And he has a decent computer.

      Linux is lightweight, which is definitely a plus. if it meets your needs, then by all means go for it. the only thing i somewhat question is why you're using such a fast computer mainly for browsing. xP
