  1. Think about it... I sit alone; a man, a stone. What nature calls it’s own.
  2. Just a thought that popped into my head. This isn't a random sentence, however. There's a definite meaning to it. I find there is a simple sort of elegance in the angel’s broken wings
  3. Hey bro, I can appreciate the humor and all but if you're going to post I'd prefer it be constructive. If you don't feel like writing perhaps you could provide critique or compliments? Even a simple brohoof would do.
  4. Ah yes, you've picked up on my favorite writing style. I love taking an idea and condensing it into it's "purest", most succinct form. It's a fun little challenge, I guess. Also, I find this "theme of the week" idea both intriguing and brilliant. Here's my idea for the selection process; everyone interested submits an idea via message. A select few poets (or mini-mods, as I like to call them) would discuss them and come to an agreement. Then I, as OP, will edit my first post to include this theme.
  5. I'm kind of the exact opposite. Pinkie's definitely sexiest in my eyes. Probably more due to her personality, though. I love care-free, optimistic people. It's just such a nice contrast to my sarcasm. Also, this
  6. Yep, you caught me. Whenever I clop, the only thing on my mind is "Gee, I just love gradually eroding women's rights". Remember folks, it's only sexist when a man does it. (For the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, please don't start a flame war over this. Opinions are just that; opinions)
  7. What will I do with 300 brohoofs, you ask? Build a throne to look down upon the lesser mortals.

I will build a kingdom in heaven complete with a fountain that shoots out Ambrosia, then.

  8. Well compared to the works Oddgob has posted, we're all a little lacking in the "word count" department. This poem is awesome, by the way. I also suffer from depression (albeit shorter, heavier bouts of it) and this poem perfectly captures how I feel during those moments. Also, the casual, rhythmic tone contrasts nicely with the darker message. Depression was actually the reason I got into poetry. Here's the first one I ever wrote. and, on an entirely different note, here's a little something I came up with about an hour ago. It's almost too short to warrant a spoiler but hey, I made the rule, I'll follow it.
  9. For some oddly disturbing reason, I picture this happening in a cafe of some sort. "Well, I'm already here" *drops pants* *escorted from establishment promptly*
  10. hey guys, I've got a "Royal Wedding" Princess Cadence and an "Elements of Harmony" Fluttershy if anyone is looking to trade/buy. (and a full set of standees. Super rare, I know!)
  11. Hey guys! I finally finished my poem! Thoughts?
  12. CamRad18 rhymes again! Each night I raise failure; beauty, scarred. My artwork corrupted; essence, marred. My Magnum Opus; night’s gem, dusk’s pearl. a former prison; greed’s wings, unfurled. Black canvas flaunts ego; power, abused. The dreamer’s haven; sanctum, misused. Come dawn I snuff exile; choices, bold. My signature piece; distant, cold.

Food was a simple creation, a collection of various ingredients recklessly thrown together to create one flavor or another. Gustave did not make "food". Gustave crafted art. As such, only that art which had received copious amounts of both time and effort was allowed to pass through his claws. Such dedication meant that Gustave was often late to the affairs he catered for and tonight was no different. Finally free of his workspace, the griffon began his trek towards the party. He took a brief moment to collect himself before pushing the double doors open with a loud bang! The room quickly grew silent. This was what Gustave lived for: that moment when every eye was on him, drinking in his silhouette. It always reminded him that the relationship between celebrity and admirer was symbiotic. The crowd needed his skills and showmanship as much as he needed to bask in their praise. As such, moments like this could be seen as the lifeblood that kept Gustave going. He could only stand such far-away admiration for so long, however, and began to scan the room for somepony who seemed enraptured by his presence to approach. ((I live!))
  14. "The things these paws can do..."
  15. I hate to disprove the main topic of this thread, but I'm going to do it anyway. Microsoft has confirmed there is NO fee for used games. Have a reference. https://twitter.com/XboxSupport3/status/336924786410278912
  16. I've recently developed a taste for the more "odd" electronic music. This song has been locked in my brain-cavity for a good few days now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTgGR3rpByY
  17. I really like these! I have a question, though. Are you saying that this "Audient Void" is responsible for the entire universe (i.e. rhythm and simple structure gave rise to all of creation)? Or is it just responsible for human consciousness?
  18. Yeah, I hope this group brings a little more recognition to people's hard work. Also, welcome aboard! I can't wait to see what you decide to post!
  19. Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I did in fact write this poem. However, it is in no way related to Discord. I do have a Discord poem on my blog, though (link in my signature).
  20. Thanks for posting! You may or may not be my new best friend now. Anyway, I really like that poem. It's sing-songy and funny, yet still intelligent.
  21. Does anyone else get a little melancholy looking at "ghost" profiles; the ones that made a few posts and then never logged on again?

Yeah, that creeps me out for some reason

  22. oh, childhood. You so funny I believed: -kissing caused pregnancy (the DNA would travel from the man to the woman) -answering machines were giant, complicated, steampunk devices that filled up an entire room -I was the only human in the world who could mouth words without actually making sound -L-M-N-O-P was elemenopee -peeing in a swimming pool turns the water blue -wheel barrel instead of wheelbarrow -several meant seven -words would attempt to escape the page unless I put a bunch of periods after each sentence to guard them.
  23. Hey guys, CamRad18 here. I, like many others, enjoy posting my poems on this site (pony-related or not). However, I grew tired of watching my poem's slow crawl down the front page and into eventual obscurity, desperately hoping for someone's comment to resuscitate it. Cue the Poet's Club; a place where fellow poets (or anyone else, for that matter) can share ideas and poems, give feedback, and generally have a jolly old time talking to other like-minded individuals. tl;dr: have an idea: share it All poems must be put in spoiler boxes! write a poem: post it (to avoid massive posts and such) have feedback: give it want a conversation: start it Theme of the Week: Have an idea for theme of the week? Submit it to CamRad18 via PM and it just might be chosen! Submissions: (sorted by author)
  24. I hate to be the grammar nazi here, guys, but you spelled Rise Against and The Red Hot Chili Peppers wrong. *whispering* Wait, that was intentional? Oh, uhm, in that case, I guess I'd go with The Cure.
  25. banned because lemons lack the ability to have ulterior motives.
