  1. All the endless bickering, judgment, and all-around rotten atmosphere has killed it for me. And not only that, but I recently noticed that ponies are pretty much all I have left in my life right now, and I don't want to become one of those guys whose entire existence revolves around and hinges on something so ridiculously pathetic and vapid. I don't know how to delete my account here, and I'm not even going to bother with it. I won't be updating my deviantART profile anymore, either. If you happen to watch me (which I very highly doubt you do) feel free to unwatch. I decided recently to abandon my dreams about becoming a professional illustrator, and am instead going to pack my shit, cross the Atlantic and move to Canada next year to pursue a career in music. It's another skill and ambition of mine. I've been playing in various bands for almost seven years now, so at least I know what I'm doing. If you wish to keep in touch with me for some odd reason, here's my contact information: Email: standardbrony@icloud.com Skype: State of Love and Trust I know people don't want to see posts about "leaving the fandom", but I decided to blog about it anyway. So that's it for me. It was nice while it lasted, but I just can't deal with this crap anymore. Fuck ponies. Lowline and Champion, you rock, and for everyone else, good luck. Over and out. P.S. Dubstep is still fucking horrible.
  2. Just stopping by to inform you that you have a killer taste in music.

Hehe! Why thank you! My parents did all the work in helping me love classical music. And then there was my fellow university students. They were obsessed with musicals! But yeah. I play the piano and violin, so that explains my love of music.

  3. 1. Pearl Jam - Even Flow 2. Ratsia - Lontoon Skidit 3. Soundgarden - Hands All Over 4. Pearl Jam - Black 5. Nirvana - You Know You're Right
  4. Alternative rock - especially 90's alternative - is the one genre for me. Other than that, I listen to a lot of punk, blues, art music, world music, and noise.
  5. I try to get every single album I can on CD, vinyl, and cassette. I don't support digital downloading, because I like to get something tangible for my money, and besides, the digitalization of the music industry is taking something beautiful out of the entire thing. Here's a list of some of the LP's I have: Pearl Jam - Ten (Original 1991 pressing and the 2009 reissue) Crass - Penis Envy Eppu Normaali - Aknepop Nirvana - Nevermind (Original 1991 pressing) Ramones - Rocket to Russia Alice in Chains - Facelift The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland Sex Pistols - Nevermind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols The Doors - The Doors Buzzcocks - Another Music in a Different Kitchen (Possibly of the original 1978 pressing. Not sure) Soundgarden - Ultramega OK Ratsia - Ratsia (Original 1979 pressing) Pearl Jam - VS ABBA - ABBA Apulanta - Attack of the A.L. People N.W.A - N.W.A And the Posse Terveet Kädet - Rock Laahausta Vastaan Discharge - Warning: Her Majesty's Government Can Seriously Damage Your Health
  6. Forum Crush: I don't even know what this means. Pony Crush: In case I haven't made it abundantly and disturbingly clear already, it's Derpy Hooves for me, I mean just look at my profile page. How could you not love Derpy? She's just so wonderfully awkward and clumsy, and precious, and holy jumpin' jesus... those eyes. <3 IRL Crush: No such thing. Haven't had one since I broke up with my ex.
  7. INTP Introvert(56%) iNtuitive(75%) Thinking(12%) Perceiving(22)% You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%) You have distinctive preference of Intuition over Sensing (75%) You have slight preference of Thinking over Feeling (12%) You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%) Yep, this is definitely me, alright.
  8. Not a huge fan of HIM, but they have some decent tunes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUUSz54G6jc TAD was one of the most underrated bands of the 90s alternative. Damn, that bass is brutal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKDDhryirfs Ah. "39/Smooth". I could break this bad boy out any day of the week. Definitely among Green Day's best albums. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMcN0yrMQJ4
  9. A mixture of creative, unhappy, and moderate, if that makes any sense. I'd like to say that I'm none of the above, since I really don't fit into any of those categories.
  10. "For two years he walks the Earth. No phone, no pool, no pets, no cigarettes. Ultimate freedom. An extremist. An aesthetic voyager whose home is the road. And now after two rambling years comes the final and greatest adventure. The climactic battle to kill the false being within and victoriously conclude the spiritual revolution. No longer to be poisoned by civilization he flees, and walks alone upon the land to become lost in the wild.”

  11. This song resonates with me on a deep level, especially this raw boombox demo, and every single time I hear it, I want to have a good cry for some reason.
  12. No matter what I do, or what new bands I discover, I somehow always seem to go back to Pearl Jam, and this song in particular. This performance in East-Troy, Wisconsin is my all-time favourite live gig, and It just doesn't get Eddie Vedder than this. It's a real shame I never got to experience the Jam during the "Ten" and "Versus" -era.
  13. It'd be a toss-up between My Little Pony Universe, the Star Wars Galaxy and the Star Trek Universe. It'd be really, REALLY hard to choose between those three, but if you were to twist my arm, I would have to pick MLP universe. Why? Because fuck you.
  14. That is so damn cool! I've never met anyone with the same birthday as me. The same birthmonth and birthyear for sure, but not the same day.
  15. Physical stuff: -Blonde/red hair (thanks, Lauren Faust) -Curves -Small stature -HUGE, open, honest, and welcoming eyes. (It also appears I have developed a strange little fixation for walled eyes after being introduced to MLP. Gee, I wonder why that would be... ?) <(duuuuuurrr) -Soft and round facial features -Small lips Personality-wise, I like women who have a sense of humor, who are honest, deep, and creative. I've also always had a thing for awkward and shy types.
  16. Yes, it's Dashie :3 Since Rainbow Dash is into flying and the whole Wonderbolts thing, I thought it would be only logical to put her into a Starfleet uniform. I was a bit uncomfortable with making this, because, as I stated before, I haven't done any lineart in ages. I think it turned out fine, though.
  17. Jus hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling too, come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you. Outside, the snow is falling and friends are calling "Yoo-hoo", come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you. Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, let's go! Let's look at the show. We're riding in the wonderland of snow.

  18. So, the Star Trek love-fest isn't over just yet. I've seen "Into Darkness" in theaters four times already and I'll probably have to go catch it one more time before the blu-ray comes out. Yes, it's THAT good. After longest time of doing nothing but painting, I decided to try my hand out again in some good ol' lineartsy stuff, because I literally haven't DRAWN anything in months.
  19. "They must find it difficult, those that take authority as truth, instead of truth as the authority" - G. Massey

  20. Oh, them self-insert stories. Haven't we all written at least one of those accursed things? I know I have. You know, I have this saying, "The saddest thing in the entire world is when you are in love with a series of painted (or, in this case, flash-animated) lines, your feelings go unrequited and you KNOW there's absolutely nothing you can do about it."
  21. I don't think my inner child will ever leave me, but the first time I realized that I was becoming a responsible adult, who needs to take control of his own life and destiny was the day I was forced to move away from home, because my father and I didn't get along. I was sixteen at the time, and suddenly, overnight, I was thrown into this entirely different world that I wasn't necessarily ready for at that age. I think it all worked out fine in the end, though, and I've even rekindled a healthy father-son-relationship with my dad again.
  22. Ouch. Horrible pain in the feels centre and tears running down my face. Not exactly the greatest way to start off your morning, wouldn't you say? : / Anyway, I really liked this one, especially towards the end, and I hope you'll write more.
  23. I think Equestria Girls established it pretty clearly that at least the Element of Magic can be used on its own, although, I see this as a giant, gaping plot hole.
  24. Ever get the feeling your mommy didn't give you enough attention?

      Moonlight

I'm a loner, so I prefer having no attention. :P
