  1. I drew this for a friend of mine Me just practicing some basic body poses
  2. There is a reason for that. I was reading a Q&A with an artist and I don't really remember the question but the answer said something like "Never become too satisfied with your work, if you do then you will be over confident blah blah" Something like that, I guess reading that hardwired into my brain so now I'm never satisfied with my work unless it's done. Thank you for pointing that out, I guess I can lighten up a bit. Here I found the quote: "I'm not satisfied and never will be and the only way to improve is to never be satisfied. I do that by throwing myself in unfamiliar territory as I did with Ponies. I went from hyper realistic human anatomy to goofy pony shapes. This means you have to accept that for awhile you will output worse then before but that's the point. Your comfort zone is comfortable because it's what produces the best result with the least effort\worry" I read this when I was still starting out. Them habits dow
  3. That's not the foundation, that's just the random stuff I draw. I can't really draw clothes, hair, or anything so instead the facial expression is just lines with more lines. The clothes are just tasked on the square itself like a texture This is what I normally put on them. It's just a representation of the jacket I wear daily It's really more of a "one take or it's out" kind of thing I did not bother taking a class any of the years in middle school, the reason is because school for me is already a big pressure for me considering I like to procrastinate a lot. Having an art project be a leech to my grades would make me a bit more on edge. Kind of like how most of the people I know who took Spanish and french actually forgot most of the things they learned last year. So that is why I'm teaching myself, I feel more open
  4. I'm getting this icky thought in my head. I haven't been drawing in weeks and weeks. I just..... Don't feel like the art type at the beginning of this year I was devoted into drawing but now I don't feel it anymore, I don't feel like this is right. Maybe it isn't? For me it's obvious this isn't going to be my cutie mark of course, I love computers, and this drawing stuff turned from something to do when I'm bored, to I have to get better all the time, practice makes perfect right? Well it's driving me insane, I'm forcing myself to draw and it's uncomfortable, I can't draw circles any more, I can't read anatomy anymore (Like I could from the start) I don't know. I've tried things from taking a break, drawing shapes and my name and various stuff but I feel like I'm doing this 100% wrong, like the way I'm doing it is long and frustrating when there is an easier way to do it in front of my face. I have ideas, I want them on paper, I don't want to beg for art and people to draw my stuff for me, I want to do it myself. When I get an idea I try to apply it on paper but in never even starts the way I want to look and I just end up dropping it. My pencil must be broken or something..... I don't feel the art type, but this is something I want to achieve. I'm tired of seeing everyone in my school draw with no hassle while I'm here trying my facking hardest to even draw a circle. I need help, I haven't been getting the help I need and I've posted here twice. Here's a stupid picture I made just now for this to be relevant. Merry Christmas
  5. Yeah sleep is pretty important, I do lots of my drawing at night, usually nights where I have no school the next day or weekends I stay up until about 1 or 2 Skyping with my friend as we share art ideas. My computer is currently out of commission and I can't really do that at the moment. As for relaxing music I do have my fair share of very calming music. I've thought of giving up as an option a number of times, I never feel like I'm improving but apparently I am says my peers. I don't plan on giving up but the option is always there. Thank you
  6. Yeah I know right? It was really late when I typed this
  7. This is faking brilliant. Why haven't I thought of that?
  8. Here's our channel banner I just finished The one before this i totally made this: http://www.youtube.com/user/CrusadersLetsPlay
  9. I don't know how to draw any more or how to do it. Nothing seems to be going good for me whenever I try to draw something, I can't as so much as draw a circle. I feel like I'm doing something wrong all the time and angers me. I've been in creative blocks before but I feel I've reached rock bottom this time. I don't want to give up drawing because I want to get better but the ideas aren't flowing on what to draw or how I should go about it. Picture relevant Any ideas?

    request Gender bend help

I need some help with something. I draw these stick figure like characters and they are all of the male gender, I'm thinking of using a female character theme but I don't quite know how to do it. Can I get some suggestions on how I would make these characters female? Here's something I finished today and I really wanted a female character but didn't know how to do it without over thinking the character design it self
  14. If you don't have any ideas you could be at a creative block. You should probably take a break and do something else and return when it feels right, creative block can lead to frustration in drawings and then you get angry. Or not I don't know I don't really have many pics of my OC other than this. And I'd like to be on the Lunar Republic. Thank you.
  15. I should probably do my homework........................ NAH

The most silliest thing about this is while getting your comment I'm actually doing my homework.

Oh, I've seen "there she is" before, and guess what I just had my own failure to society moment. I accidentally over spent $160 at a convention, concert, and game store...

  16. Some minor errors like some shading and shoes. But I'm still learnign
  17. A great moment in your video gaming career. Anything from fighting games, to shooters, to glitches and speedruns, what is your most memorable and jaw dropping moment in a video game that made you go "Oh my god what?!"
  18. I've sat in this computer chair all day, might as well sleep in it

  19. We've all started somewhere, when we watched the show and wanted to draw a character with no rhyme or reason. What is your first pony picture you've ever drawn? And if you started drawing very recently it's ok! This first picture will become a stable in your art career Rainbow Dash drawn 2 years ago. Oh god

Hmm ok, I'll take this into consideration
  21. The head looks nice, me nitpicking I'd say the ear is a bit sideways. Pen drawing sounds pretty difficult of someone of my skills, is it hard? I dare not attempt because I won't really benefit out of it so all of my physical sketches are all in pencil.

    request Eyes help

Ok I'm slowly learning how to draw pone. I've mostly gotten the body, mane, tail, and head down to wear I can practice on these easily. What I can't really grip is eyes. I draw most of the eyes to my ponies eyes with arc looking lines. I only very recently touched eyes in my recent drawing which has front facing eyes. http://th00.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2013/318/a/3/team_fortress_2_pony_by_revivingsociety-d6u99p4.png I just started eye practice and I made this just now http://i.imgur.com/trzA9x3.png Is there any tips to doing eyes correctly? I don't normally work on eyes so eyes are new to me. Sorry if this is the wrong board, it seemed like something to post it on, if it's not please move it.
  23. Progressive metal? Progressive metal. I love this and I thank you
