In short (if that's even possible), way too much interference from everywhich way during production, great ideas and moments (Douchebag Venom is an interesting approach that doesn't get nearly enough screentime, the amazing scene where Flint Marko wakes up and finds out he's made of sand, etc.) gets lost in all those unfathomably stupid moments, pacing is all over the place, missed opportunity overall, the single biggest disappointment of my childhood.

I wanted to see more of Venom but instead, Raimi did not capitalize on good opportunities.
