Well, when you put it that way, all OC's don't have to be ponies. On the show, yes. People make OCs of Dragons, Zebras, and other mythlogical creatures. We could have so much lore to be explored, yet in the show they need to do that more often.
I like OCs really I do, they have a creative style to them when you are making the characters, but I think that ponies got people interested in the show. Don't know about the other species.
I don't really care as much, but I can say that the fandom has the skills to make all of this content to stay solely dedicated to a show that we love. So, I'm not invested but I'm proud of who I am and who we are.
I figured that's what you did, don't ask how I know. I heard that the comic is pretty good, now if only that I could get it for free without paying. Anyway, Trixie will have to pull a miracle against Sweetie Belle. Though I love them both.
All Hail The Great and Powerful Trixie! Now that she has advanced into the tournament, she awaits her next challenge to defeat singlehandedly for her enthusiastic admirers.
The only standards that I have for gaining my friendship on the friend/best friend level are:
Anyone who is nice to me.
We have talked before or for the first time.
Our relationship starts to flourish.
Someone who respects himself/herself and others.
My thoughts on this subject matter is, the Castle of the Two Sisters isn't that far at all. The distance from Ponyville to the castle, is an acceptional distance since they are not far from each other at all. If you walk into the forest to get to the castle, you won't get lost if you know your way around. So, it could take an hour or so.
This forum in particular, is the only big forum community that I've been a part for a long time and that I enjoy it a lot. That's saying a lot coming for me.
I think we still have the interest and hunger for adventure, it's just that we try to break the norm of how we seek adventure but somehow we are still at square one. Our technology continues to grow, yet we're not at the point of colonizing planets yet.
