  1. My biggest natural enemy is running. I just cannot do it. I'm slow and get tired out very easily. Plus I end up with shin splints any time I have to run any distance--even if it's just jogging somewhere. I also have severe difficulty with getting up in the morning. Not in the way of being too tired or in a bad mood. Like just standing up/getting out of bed. I apparently have low blood pressure which gives me head-rushes every time I stand up. But getting up from laying down has made me straight up pass out on more than one occasion.
  2. I really like both. When I was younger, I was OBSESSED with chocolate, but as I've matured I think I appreciate the taste of vanilla a bit more. Just as long as it's not white chocolate--that stuff is poison.
  3. Stupify by Disturbed I wasn't even listening to it today. Gotta find a different song, this has been playing through my head for hours...
  4. WWAPD's theater friend here: first off, let me say I love the maniacal laugh you have for this monologue...especially the one at the end. Spot on right there. My biggest piece of advice for this is figure out what accent you are doing. I'm guessing you're using it to find this insanity, but I was getting really caught up in it--it felt almost Southern at one point and then Scottish another time and the times in between I wasn't really sure. Maybe try seeing what it sounds like with no accent at all (it's gonna feel weird but give it a try), and if that seems too weird, lay on the accent a little less thickly. Also, when you're speaking for "Squirrely," maybe give him his own voice. Give the squirrel a bit of a character and that could add to the insanity because of the fact that you're now narrating for yourself AND a squirrel. Overall, though, this sounds really, really good. I hope you get the part!!
  5. I swear a lot and school is one of the only places I can swear freely without being worried about people getting mad at me. Of course there is a time and a place for swearing, but I think a lot of people are way too offended by it. I have a teacher who said that if he hears you drop an F-bomb in class he will make you write an essay on why swearing is bad. This bugs the crap out of me...it's ridiculous! We all know what those words mean, we're not kindergarteners who need to be sheltered. So just deal with it, I say. If someone wants to swear, that's none of your business to ask them to stop. It's not making you look bad so why should you even care? To be honest, swearing is fun, it can liven up a conversation. I had a teacher who would swear all the time and it kept class interesting and funny. I just hate how everybody's out to spoil everyone else's fun. On a slight side note...where did swearing even come from? Why did we invent these words if we aren't supposed to say them? Where's the logic in that??
  6. After a recent trip to Disneyworld, I've noticed a lot of similarities between the Disney princesses and the Mane 6. If I were to assign a princess to each pony it would go as follows: Twilight=Belle Both are absolute bookworms, however Belle has a strong sense of adventure that Twi really doesn't have Fluttershy=Snow White Both are very sweet, get scared easily, and have a thing for woodland creatures Applejack=Tiana Both are hardworking and stubborn. They also both have a strong sense of family. Pinkie Pie=Cinderella Despite any setbacks, both are always happy. And of course Cinderella goes to the ball which is probably the most famous fairytale "party" that has ever occured Rainbow Dash=Ariel? Both are pretty headstrong and each has an element they work in (be it water or air) but Dashie is much more obsessed with her wings whereas Ariel gives up her fins. Rarity=? I have no idea what princess would match Rarity's personality... Any ideas for Rarity's princess? Also, does anyone have a different lineup for pony/princesses?
  7. My avatar is me as a pony...I'm still a blank flank though. I have a lot of different things I like to do so I don't know what my cutie mark would be.
  8. Do I want cupcake? Bleh...not after what I just read...
  9. Friends. Because you choose those people. You love them and protect them because you think they're special. Family is something you're kinda forced into. It's all really random and I think it's wrong that people say blood ties MUST run deeper than friendships. For example, my brother is a little jerk and does nothing for my life except piss me off. If somehow he gets in a fight with my friend, I'm probably gonna side with the friend. I don't owe my brother anything and he's never given me a reason to defend him. My folks are really against this and they say I am obliged to defend him as the older sister. But why?? He's always either trying to piss me off or get me into trouble and I'm supposed to stick up for him JUST because he happened to also be born to my parents? No. I stick with my friends and I will defend and protect them because I love them I know that they would do the same for me.
  10. I got cast in a play as a small child who can destroy things with her mind. Also, today was my last day of school before spring break and I'm going to DISNEYWORLD!!!
  11. Hell, why not? The crazy eye makeup is from a circus themed show I was recently in called Pippin. The people doing my makeup were going for a "Black Swan" kind of look for me.
  12. I'm not a quiet person. Hell, I am LOUD. But I don't think it's a bad thing to be quiet or shy. In fact, the most intelligent and insightful people I know are pretty quiet. It can be hard to put what's in your head into words, but when it all comes down to it, it's way better to say few things with lots of meaning than a lot of things with little or no meaning.
  13. Meeko from Pocahontas! No..wait, Sally from Nightmare before Christmas! No no...Gonzo the muppet. Or maybe Winnie the Pooh. Or it could be Burt from Mary Poppins. Sebastian from Little Mermaid? Oh there's way too many I can't decide. But oh god do I love Disney!!
  14. When I was 10 or so I watched my friend accidentally slice her thumb open with a big knife. The cut was probably 4 inches long and really deep. It was the most blood I'd ever seen and she ended up getting stitches. I still have a problem with watching other people bleed. I also once watched a show about this boy (real story here) who ate raw beef and got this terrible disease from it that blew holes in his intestines and totally destroyed his stomach. It freaked me out and I didn't eat beef for a long time after that. I still try to avoid it but I'm getting better about eating it
  15. "The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic" --Joseph Stalin "We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it." --John Lennon "When you're born, you get a ticket to the freak show. When you're born in America, you get a front row seat" "Inside every cynical person, there is a disappointed idealist" --George Carlin "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new" --Albert Einstein "Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana" "Marriage is a wonderful institution. But who wants to live in an institution?" --Groucho Marx
  16. Cats all the way! I love them. Dogs kind of scare me to be honest. There are probably three dogs that I know of right now that I actually like. Cats are great because they're super independent but they can also be really sweet and cuddly. Dogs are just around all the time, always underfoot and begging for food and slobbering and barking...the barking is probably the biggest reason I don't like them. Cats have cute little meows they make but dogs bark and it drives me crazy. So yeah...cats! Plus at some point in my life I'm gonna end up being a cat lady and that suits me just fine
  17. I'm absolutely inspired by music. Good music, that is. I'm a dancer and I'm always looking for new songs to dance to and interpret. I'm also really inspired by people who are really dedicated to their goals. I had a dance teacher at a camp who was so focused, hardworking, and present that whenever I'm lazy or don't want to get out of bed, I think "Meghan wouldn't be doing this" and it motivates me to get up and do something.
  18. I have serious issues with animatronic people. Think Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland... Yeah, I can't do it, they freak me out. I'm not exactly sure why...something to do with that they LOOK human but don't quite move like humans. And when they position themselves where they look right at you...I almost feel like it's real and it's looking at me specifically. And I know that sounds stupid but it's just one of those irrational fears that people have. I think the proper term is automatonophobia.
  19. Pretty simple: Something you do or like that most people wouldn't expect based off of everything else in your life or how you look or act. My example: Ever since I started listening to metal and hard rock (Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Korn, Disturbed, etc), the first response I got when people learned about it was "You don't look like the type of girl who would like that." That has always really bothered me. It is true, I don't look or really act like a "metalhead"--hell, I'm a BALLERINA. Skinny, short, generally nice, not too "out there" in fashion or makeup or anything. But I still love the music and have had a slightly unhealthy obsession with Marilyn Manson. So who is anyone to judge or assume my taste in music based on my "look" or how I seem to people?
  20. If life were a musical...that'd be really awesome. If I could sing at all, that is. One thing that would be really weird is songs with an ensemble singing in them. Suddenly random people off the street start singing and harmonizing with you and dancing in time with each other. I dunno, that'd kinda throw me off. And how do you know who's the star of the musical? Do we all star in our own musical? How would all of our musicals weave through each other? Would we all be ensemble for other people? How many others would we be ensemble for?
  21. It's an honest mistake to misspell a name but I do get a little annoyed because I don't think my name is that hard to spell...my last name is a little tricky but usually people ask me how to spell it and I have no problem with telling someone if they ask. What really ticks me off, though, is when people don't capitalize my name. I'm in 10th grade and people still don't manage to capitalize names other than their own.
  22. I fell in love with Fluttershy the very first episode. She reminds me a lot of one of my best friends and I also loved her long mane and tail. I also really liked Luna. I always tend to like a charachter who was evil but is given a chance to redeem themselves. Also, Luna's look adds a bit of dark/goth/mystery to balance out the girly sunshiny-ness of most of the other characters.
  23. Just because being a brony appeals to a certain age doesn't make it a phase, it makes it a thing for that generation. I'm in the 13-17 category, and unless something drastic happens to make me want to leave the fandom...I'm sticking around even once I'm out of that age group. Other kids our age probably are too. So it won't be an age that loves the show, it will be a generation. And--who knows--maybe the incoming groups of 13-17 year olds will also like it and the ages will start to level out.
  24. I have a friend who called me "LJD" for a while. It stood for Little Jewish Dancer. I thought it was sweet and cute. But then I became an atheist so it kinda had to be cut. It was fun while it lasted though. I also have a strange friend/acquaintance (don't really know what to call him) who would call me "Little Sis" which is where my username comes from. Based off my name Becca, I get a lot of people who call me Becs. I also have a friend who has made it his goal to come up with really dumb nicknames based off the name Becca. I've gotten Becca-Doodle-Doo, Bectastic, Becaroonie, Becinator...the list goes on forever.
  25. I giggle. It's a nervous habit I've developed in the past year or so. I can't really say why I giggle--I mean, what's so funny about feeling uncomfortable? It just sorta happens...almost like I'm laughing at myself for being out of my comfort zone. It can be good and bad. If someone makes fun of me or someone tries to be flirty (even fake flirty) giggling can be good and it causes a nice transition out of the awkward and into a light conversation. However once the subject gets serious, it is almost never appropriate to laugh. I get weird looks and people think I'm insensitive about things but I really can't help it. My other alternative is crying when things get REALLY out of hand. So laughing or crying? I'd much rather be laughing so I'll stick with that until I find something else.
