  1. I think that the Mane 6 will still treat her pretty normally, but the rest of the citizens of Ponyville....? Hard to say. I don't think she will be bombarded by fans and paparazzi like how Fluttershy was in Green Isn't Your Color. There will be a lot more respect shown to her, though. She might feel a bit alienated because her new status puts her above everypony else. But I don't think there will be any Beatles-style running from mass groups of hungry fans or wearing disguises in public.
  2. I wear concealer under my eyes or else I look like a zombie. Aside from that, none at all--unless I'm going onstage. I find that a lot of times, wearing makeup makes me look worse than no makeup. Plus it's a pain to take off and it's really bothersome because I wear contacts.
  3. As a performer, when I have shows coming up I get really terrible stress dreams that some part of a performance has changed or I have to learn new lines or things get messed up during/right before a show. My most recent one was over a show that won't happen until May that I am choreographing a dance for. I dreamt it was the day of the show and my dance group was going on in 20 minutes. The piece isn't even half choreographed and I haven't taught any of it to my dancers. So throughout the dream I was desperately trying to teach and create the dance along with getting costumes and music set up. I have had a couple dreams where I was a secret agent and I had to chase people down or solve some big mystery. I remember in one of them I was chasing after a man and he jumped out of the 20th story of a building through the roof of another building and I jumped down after him, went through the roof, hit the ground, felt no pain, got right back up and kept chasing him. I have never dreamt about ponies. I wish I would though.
  4. -I've only read Cupcakes and My Little Dashie and I don't plan on reading any more fanfics -I think Lightning Dust had a lot to offer as a character, she should be brought back -Trixie annoys the heck out of me, she's a bitch--I don't see what the big deal is about her -I want Twilight to be an alicorn. I was hoping for it since the little hints in the Season 3 opening -The fact that AJ wears her mane and tail in a ponytail (if you'll pardon the pun) has always bothered me -I think shipping is really REALLY dumb -I like Big Mac best when he actually talks. "Yup" and "nope" gets old pretty fast, I think his character deserves more than that
  5. As I recently re-watched Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 for the millionth time, I was wondering what scenes/songs are everybody's favorites? In each option I've included the name of the song, the composer, and a brief summary of the scene. I remember the last post I saw about a Disney-related topic was pretty well received...Please vote!!
  6. Well I am currently single but last Valentine's Day I was not. So this year is definitely going to be a bad one. What are your plans for Valentine's Day? Go to school, go to musical rehearsals, go to dance class, avoid ex at all costs, eat any/all candy, cookies, brownies etc offered to me, try not to punch couples in the face, try not to get too pissed at "OMG it's VALENTINE'S DAY" statuses, try not to cry too hard at night (lots of fun, yes?) What's the most romantic thing you've ever done? (Or want to do) Haha romantic...? I have never done anything too romantic. Not really the romantic type. If I were more comfortable being in a relationship with someone, maybe I'd do something. But since almost all the guys in my life fit wonderfully into the friendzone I would find pretty much anything romantic to be creepy and/or just plain weird. What is your dream date? Something insanely casual. Just being able to hold hands with someone, walk on a trail or around town, and TALK. A nonstop conversation ranging from deeply intellectual/philosophical to plain goofy and hilarious. Call me crazy but like I said...I'm not the romantic type. What is your significant other like? OR What is your dream girl/guy like? Ah...the ever-elusive dream guy...I don't know. What we all want I guess...attractive, smart, funny... I want someone who accepts me for who I am and what I like to do (including MLP--he doesn't have to be a brony though). Someone who I can talk to and who will listen and want to talk to me. And someone who is honest. For Christ's sake where did all the honest people go?
  7. Anne Hathaway minus the pixie cut. I like her long hair way better. I think she is SOO beautiful and her smile makes me want to cry. She has gorgeous eyes too. She was awesome in Les Mis...God that woman can SING!!! I've been told I look like Troian Bellisario who plays Spencer on Pretty Little Liars...I don't really see it though
  8. I collect frogs. Not live ones but ceramic, beaded, plush, glass, etc frogs. Right now I have 32 frogs. These are some of my favorites: The pink and green one in the middle was my first frog I also collect glass Coke bottles. I only have 5 though, and my rule for those is that I have to be the one to drink the Coke if I keep the bottle.
  9. I am also a ballet dancer, I've been doing ballet for about 12 years now. I would really love to branch out and do some jazz and modern dance. I've done a little of those but want to do more. Also, I am currently in the musical Pippin which was choreographed by Bob Fosse. His style of dance is incredibly fun and looks really cool too. I also love the type of dancing that Michael Jackson more or less invented...major props to people who can dance like that because it is NOT EASY.
  10. I beg to differ, I think Pegasister is a very clever term and I think it sounds nice. I think it's perfectly acceptable to call yourself a brony if you're a girl. Girls can certainly be "bros" if they want to. Plus, I've always thought of Brony simply being someone older than the target age of the show--regardless of how much of a "bro" they are or what their gender is. But I don't think we should shun the girls who want to be pegasisters. In a general sense, just "Brony" works for most situations, but if you need to reveal gender or differentiate, its a great term to have around. Besides, it sounds silly to say "female brony"
  11. Despite being a girl, I still get crap about watching the show. But yes, I agree, in most cases, it's completely unfair that boys/men get so much crap for liking girl stuff when it's perfectly acceptable for a girl to like guy stuff.
  12. Friendships in the real world don't work out like the friendship of the Mane 6. Why? First of all, the ponies have qualities that most people don't. 1. They are honest to a fault 2. They're all very forgiving 3. They try their best to make things work--they never give up on each other But I realized there's something more to it: MAGIC--the 6th and most elusive Element of Harmony. I hereby theorize that the creators/writers of this show, knowing that friendships could never run this smoothly in the real world, threw in magic to sober us of the fact that--just like magic--a perfect friendship is just about impossible to find. Call me a cynic, but honestly...do you have a friendship with 5 others that has run completely smoothly despite fights or certain people having problems with each other? No grudges or anything? If you do--please share your secret with me. If not...I find the only explanation to be magic. What do you all think?
  13. Both my parents know about it. I think my dad tries to avoid talking about it and I humor him. I like to talk to my mom about it though. I've showed her some clips (such as the RD/Fluttershy "...yay..." clip) and she thought they were pretty cute. I think it's actually good for my mom to know I like them because she's not too keen about me growing up quite yet. It lets her go back to the days before I started listening to heavy metal, cursing, and trying to stay out of the house as much as possible.
  14. Pain--Especially a painful death. Not death itself but the pain that would go with it. It's strange because I am so afraid of pain, yet I don't know the full extent of it. I've never even broken a bone. The worst I've done has been to sprain my foot or to pull a bike on top of me and bruise my shin bone. Losing a friend--Not in the sense of "I don't want to be your friend anymore" but that they had died. I almost lost a very close friend of mine to suicide so now I'm incredibly paranoid. If people even joke about self harm or suicide around me I get really uncomfortable. I also get really worried if I don't hear from someone after texting them or leaving a message. I expect people get annoyed with my clingy-ness. Getting stuck in a rut--yeah this is actually a really bad fear for me. Nothing would be worse than to live my life doing the same thing every day. I want to have a change of scenery pretty frequently. That's part of the reason why I want to be an actress. People in performing arts move around a lot. New things to see and do all the time. No desk jobs for me!
  15. My parents came close to naming me Johanna (my real name is Becca) I don't plan on getting married I have no problem being in tight spaces but I get seriously claustrophobic in large crowds of people I internet stalk people. A lot. I don't know how to get angry with someone
  16. I'm a theater kid and nowadays in the theater business you GOTTA be able to sing. Naturally, I have zero talent in terms of singing (my voice teacher has told me it's because I'm too skinny) but I take voice lessons now and I think I'm at least halfway decent. I'm an alto which means I sing the lower notes for girls and hitting high notes is a challenge. I'm currently in our school's musical as ensemble and the show has a lot of crazy harmonies for the chorus. It's certainly a challenge but it's very fun. So in answer to the question: No, I can't sing but I pretend I can and that's good enough for most people
  17. As a girl, I get a lot less hate about liking MLP. For some people though, it's not that easy. There's a huge stereotype about us bronies that anyone who's heard of us (and isn't one of us) is familiar with: we are losers, we have no friends, we spend all our time on the internet or playing videogames, any guy who likes the show is secretly gay...the list goes on forever. :'( Basically, despite loving MLP, some people have a reputation to uphold if they are in a group where being a brony is not familiar or not tolerated (however sad that may be, it does happen). Closet bronies most definitely ARE bronies because **they like the show**. Not because they make pony art, read/write fanfics, or have extensive collections of pony merch. Bronies originate from enjoying the show and that is that, no ifs ands or buts. So I will say this: THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A CLOSET BRONY AND THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU ANY LESS OF A BRONY IN MY EYES. I agree, it's not super healthy to hold in a secret, but I respect peoples decisions about keeping something like this hidden. (On a slight side note:) Are we commercializing the show now? Us bronies have to "endorse" it to be legit bronies? What kind of nonsense is that? *gets off soapbox* ok, I'm done now
  18. Wow, what a reaction! This is funny because from my experience, people aren't super fond of AJ (I, myself, included) but suddenly you all managed to find this. I commend each and every one of you. I understand everypony's point that AJ didn't get as much time as you would have liked in previous seasons. However, is it fair that all of her episodes to makeup for lost time suddenly be thrown into season 3? What about the other 5 ponies who also deserve some screentime? I am very happy that Fluttershy is *finally* getting an episode. But, seriously it's the 10th episode. For 6 ponies, in 10 episodes, it shouldn't be too hard to fit her and Rarity in there somewhere. Then again, we do have the rest of the season (not that there's too much left *more sadness*). I guess I'm hoping to see episodes focused on one pony spread out a bit more. Add a little variety for the folks who aren't so in love with a certain character.
  19. Looking back on Season 3, in comparison with the other Mane 6, Applejack has gotten a ton--I mean a TON of screen time. And a song! (a damn good song, I may add) But seriously, look at this: Only naming Mane 6 characters being focused on Episode 1+2: Crystal Empire--all of the Mane 6, focus on Twilight Episode 3: Too many Pinkie Pies--Pinkie Pie Episode 4: One Bad Apple--Applejack is the only Mane 6 with a big part Episode 5: Magic Duel--Twilight Episode 6: Sleepless in Ponyville--Mostly Dash (we can count Rarity and AJ as a half) Episode 7: Wonderbolts Academy--Rainbow Dash Episode 8: Apple Family Reunion--only Applejack (PLUS she gets a song) Episode 9: Spike at Your Service--Applejack So, to recap: Twilight 2, Pinkie 1, Dash 2, Rarity 1/2, Fluttershy 0 (*sadness*), AJ 3 1/2 Applejack is getting more screen time than Twilight Sparkle. Rarity and Fluttershy have had no episodes about them. Does anyone else think this is unfair? We have a ton of stuff about AJ and the whole Apple family. I want background on Fluttershy, I want an episode with Rarity and her dressmaking, I WANT PINKIE PIE'S PARTY CANNON!!! Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous??
  20. Hey me too! I've heard that us coloradans don't pronounce our T's enough. Usually if a word has "nt" (for instance "mouNTains" or "tweNTy") we don't enunciate the T. In terms of my accents, I have an American accent but I can do a British, Russian, and semi-decent French accent
  21. I don't mind it if people forget my birthday. Honestly, it doesn't phase me a bit. I never question a person's friendship or loyalty if they forget my birthday. But apparently that's a big deal for some people. I know people who get really hurt and kind of offended if I forget their birthday. Now, granted, it's cool to remember birthdays. Especially for family, a best friend, a boyfriend/girlfriend and other *very* special people. But what about your other friends? Maybe people you don't see as much? Is it fair to expect everyone you're friends with to remember your birthday? Should you get offended or question a friend's loyalty if they forget? Anybody else get the cold shoulder for forgetting a birthday? ^(guideline questions...but feel free to bring up anything that applies)
  22. When people pop their knuckles or other joints When people walk really slowly down the hallways The smell of cigarettes Girls who shave half their heads (seriously ladies...it doesn't look good) Gauges (again...they don't look good, and it's kinda gross) Duck-face photos When my iPod or cell phone is running dangerously low on batteries--I get paranoid about when it's gonna die Swear word "replacements" (darn=damn, fudge=fuck, shoot=shit, etc) When other people get freaked out about blood Perfume When a song comes on and people say "This is my song!!" (it is not YOUR song unless you wrote it. please get over yourself) Colds Wearing glasses (contact lenses saved my life) When girls say "I am so fat" even though they are really skinny and they know it When people say something is "too mainstream" and therefore they cannot like it Girls who are going for that scene/goth/emo look and clip TAILS to their belt loops (what is that even? honestly...I don't understand the thought process behind wearing a TAIL)
  23. 1. I think shipping for this show is kind of dumb. As much as I love all the characters, we have to remember, they're animated ponies. And although I have nothing against gay and lesbian relationships, the Mane 6 are all girls and most of the shipping seems forced. 2. I certainly do not approve of shipping Dash and AJ--too much competition between the two, it would never work. Dash and Pinkie Pie makes more sense to me but I only see them as friends (as I do all of them). I could see shipping Twilight with AJ, but--again--I really only see them as friends. 3. The one ship I do really approve of is Rarity and Fluttershy. They are very well suited for each other (both enjoying fashion, spa days and the daintier things in life). I could see them as being "more than friends" in a very sweet way. 4. I don't ever see that happening on this show. Maybe a background relationship like Big Mac and Cheerilee (which I think is super cute) but I think between the mane 6 it would cause harm to their group. As with most relationships within a group of friends...it changes how people treat each other. AJ and Dash would have an issue with it for sure because it would combine the two most lady-like ponies. AJ having a problem with Rarities dislike of getting dirty and Dash's problem with Fluttershy's shyness.
  24. ok so at first I was all like WHAAAAAT? but then I did some research and I learned that in G3 there is a character named Scootaloo who is an earth pony and she is the younger sister of a unicorn named Cheerilee who was one of the core 7 in G3. I don't think she is still Scootaloo's sister in the current generation though
  25. I thought we got a basic background for Spike too in the Cutie Mark Chronicles and from what Twi has told everypony. But if this is true, that'd be awesome! I REALLY want background on Zecora and more on Fluttershy. Plus (I don't know if they'll get around to this) but I want to know about AJ's parents. I also want to know where Scootaloo came from. AJ and Rarity are connected to the CMC through Applebloom and Sweetiebelle (respectively) but Scootaloo is kind of a wild card in their midst. She's not related to any of the mane six unless there's some strange long-lost-sibling stuff going on. So yeah...a bit more background for everypony would be sweet
