  1. I agree with you, parents ARE lazy. I know far too many parents who treat their kids like special snowflakes and put the blame on other things instead of their own children. But the thing is, I can do a Google Search with safe mode off and literally on the first couple of pages I can find Rule 34 or very suggestive pictures. I don't care if people like Rule 34, it's not my thing, but to each their own, but that is upsetting.
  2. Why is everything the parent's responsibility? Why can't people liking the jokes, you know, do the responsible thing and keep that kind of stuff as far away from children as possible? There are ways to do that. It takes a village to raise a child, not just the parents. Everybody in the community has a responsibility to be good citizens and behave properly. Besides, it's disturbing that there's easily accessible Rule 34 and other inappropriate content about a show for little girls that's easily found with google search. Also, making a joke about a traumatic experience is NOT the same as making a joke about dying. Everybody dies eventually, but not everyone experiences sexual violence and molestation. But hey, in that case, if you're making a death joke to someone who's fighting cancer and knows they could die from it, how do you think they would feel? I doubt they would feel good about it. They might laugh it off, but they will feel terrible on the inside. Jokes like that do more harm than good and just ignoring it and moving on is not the way to go.
  3. You're right, we aren't being forced to see it. HOWEVER, I know that there are CHILDREN that aren't even in the brony fandom that know about princess molestia and they think she's a joke or funny. Children are finding her through a simple google search. THAT is what is disturbing to me, along with people feeling victimized. You think people are being oversensitive about molestation jokes? Many of them were victims of molestation and those comics trigger them. I know they do their best to avoid it, but sometimes someone on their dashboard on Tumblr will reblog it and not properly tag it, thus triggering them. All of us have the right to like what we like, but we also have the right to call out problematic things when we see them. And it's unfortunate that you and many others would rather enjoy a tumblr that victimizes the ponies and hurts the feelings of survivors than do the right thing and call the blog out and tell them to stop doing the molestation jokes.
  4. Where is the thread for Down With Molestia? I haven't seen one yet. Could someone link that to me, please? But really, wow. I can't believe many of you would stoop that low and say that it's okay to support it when people aren't being physically hurt. I'm guessing physical harm is the only kind of harm there is in your opinion? What about emotional and mental harm? Is that not important?
  5. The bait and switch argument. How mature and constructive. I'll be MORE than happy to start a Down With Molestia thread, but chances are I'll have a LOT of backlash.
  6. Why are you arguing with me over whether or not rape or sexual assault ever happened? Aren't you all supposed to think rape and sexual assault jokes are bad?
  7. It's really disappointing that many of you support a fan-made character that makes rape and sexual assault into a joke and something that's funny and attractive. Usually I am a very open-minded and accepting person, but this is wrong. So very wrong. Makes me incredibly sad.
  8. Call me crazy, but I'm preeeeeetty sure that's Shining Armor, her brother. The voice sounds the same, they both have blue eyes and blue hair and they both have a blue shield as a cutie mark and to be honest, I don't think they're giving her a love interest. I think he's going to be the one who helps her so much in this world.
  9. Yeah, height does matter to me, but then again, I'm 5'8", so I'm quite tall for a woman. I always tend to get looked over for shorter girls by really tall guys. In my area, at least, the guys go for the really short women, but not the taller women. Still, even if you are short, that doesn't mean you can't be an awesome person. Be a good man and cultivate your unique personality and sooner or later, someone will bite. And if you want, date a girl who's a little taller. Many people are pretty open about dating below their height.
  10. Wow.....just, wow. This is a FANTASTIC explanation of the whole episode! I felt there was something much deeper to it than I realized (but I watched it at almost 5 in the morning, so obviously my brain wouldn't function right), but after watching it again, I felt there was something I wasn't getting. I felt the whole episode was just a cliffhanger and foreshadowing, which it is, but there's such a deeper meaning to it. And you just told all of us about it. Now we can see it. This is awesome and it goes to show the depth the writing team has for this show. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  11. But that begs the question: is her true destiny to be an alicorn or a princess? I feel that you can be an alicorn without being a princess. Perhaps Twilight might be the first non-princess Alicorn. But anyway, we don't know if she's going to be permanent or temporary. Next season will most likely answer our questions. We just have to be patient.
  12. The season finale felt very rushed, but this is a segway to the two-part season premiere later this year. It's a cliffhanger. Not a great cliffhanger, but a cliffhanger nonetheless. Hopefully they elaborate further as to why she became an alicorn and why she became a princess.
  13. Season 4 is 26 episodes? YES! I'm happy it's 26 episodes. I would rather have more episodes than less episodes. This whole season didn't feel like much.
  14. I barely wear any makeup. I'm too lazy to get up a few minutes early in the morning to put it on. Thankfully my skin is pretty clear and nice, so I don't have to cake my face with foundation. If I do anything, it's usually just mascara and eyeliner, maybe a little blush.
  15. I got Type 4 with wing 5: "The Bohemian" The Sensitive, Introspective type: Expressive, Dramatic, Self-Absorbed, and Temperamental This is pretty dead on. I am self-absorbed and I can be quite dramatic at times. I also have a lot of emotions that run through me and I feel emotions harder than most and it's very hard for me to hide them. It was also right that Type 4s tend to feel that they "lack" something in their self-image and identity. That's so me. I always feel that I'm not as socially adept as most people. I struggle with making friends because people find my way of talking weird and they tend to drift away and avoid me. But sometimes when I tell my boyfriend about it, he says that I seem fine socially. So maybe it's all in my head.
  16. I didn't do the test, but my writing speed is about 60 wpm on a laptop. It's faster if it's on a desktop keyboard. As long as I'm allowed to use the back button, I can do it over 75 wpm.
  17. It's so obvious nothing is going to be fine. How the finale ended was nothing short of a cliffhanger and foreshadowing. Twilight's going to be in over her head with this whole princess thing and we're going to see her struggle with the new role. So many problems are going to pop up for her, like she might drift away from her friends, she'll have a rough time trying to adjust and she might think she's not cut out for this whole princess thing. I already have my thoughts on how this will end, but this will be interesting to see what happens. But with the whole emphasis on destiny, I think what will happen is there will be a message that you alone have control over your own destiny. It's not written in the stars for you, but you can make your own. I think that's how it will end up and she'll give up her title to be who she truly is.
  18. Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of my all-time favorite cartoons! Legend of Korra is a little farther behind, but still one of my faves, too. One of the biggest reasons why I adored the show was they had really awesome, strong and powerful female characters. It's still quite uncommon to see women and girls fighting and kicking serious ass in movies and TV in the US. But this show didn't have just one awesome female character, it had several: Katara, Suki, Toph, Azula, Ty-Lee, Mai, Korra, Asami and soooo many other awesome ladies! My favorite Katara scene was when she was in the Northern Water Tribe city and Pakku told her he wouldn't train her because women did healing, not fighting. AND SHE SMACKED HIM UPSIDE THE HEAD WITH A WATER WHIP WHEN HE WALKED RIGHT PAST HER AND IGNORED HER AND I WAS LIKE, "YESSSSS GIRL, YOU SHOW HIM!" I was so excited when she took him on and held her own.
  19. Spongebob has gone down the tubes. It used to be smart and funny, now it's rare that I get a laugh out of it with the newer episodes. And Fairly OddParents jumped the gun when Poof showed up. The only shows worth watching on the channel are iCarly and Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. I will be the first to also admit that I prefer their premium channels more than the original channel. TeenNick's got Degrassi and some cheesy yet entertaining Australian teen dramas and reruns of the Amanda Show and iCarly (and The 90s are All That! after midnight), while NickToons have the popular cartoons and some old-school shows, as well. So they're kind of making some really crappy decisions with the channel.
  20. I'm not a major gym nut, per se, but going to the gym is the ONLY way I can get a workout. My ADD and tendency to be lazy at home makes it difficult for me to work out when I'm in my room. Sometimes I'll go for a walk during the summer, but I don't do much else at home. So that's why I use the gym. With that said, I like Planet Fitness because they have a yearly promotion where you pay $99 for a full-year of unlimited fitness training. It saves money in the long run and it's worth the price if I can use the gym 24/7.
  21. The episode was very rushed and not as authentic as many other episodes have been. But I do think this is just a cliffhanger and we're going to see the outcome of this next season. I'm putting my money on "Twilight gives up her princess title because she doesn't want to lose her friends."
  22. I just got over some weird bug a few days ago and I had similar symptoms as you. But what did help me was getting plenty of rest, taking my temperature often and drinking lots of fluids. I can't stress the fluids enough. And word of advice: try and switch up what you drink. When I get sick, I drink water, OJ and Gatorade. I alternate it with each time I drink and it does wonders for me. But also, follow what Leatherneck wrote. He covered the bases very well. Get well soon!
  23. Yeah, I usually watch Dan Vs., which is really funny and entertaining. I also watch Animaniacs and sometimes Pound Puppies if I'm feeling up to it. I'm excited for the Presidents' Day Animaniacs marathon. I loved that show when I was a kid.
  24. I got fired from my first job ever because my boss didn't think I was "outgoing enough." Consider that it was my very first job ever and he tells me that I'm not bubbly or personable enough. Only after two shifts. What was even worse was I didn't see a cent of that money because it all went to taxes. But since then I've had pretty stead employment.
  25. I like Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Princess Tutu, Pretty Cure, Kare Kano, anything with Chi the kitten and I'm getting into Polar Bear Cafe ...yeah, I like the cutesy stuff.
