For now I'm working as a tech in a hospital pharmacy. I thought everyone liked me and I was trying to be social with everyone. I don't get it....

I don't know what their idea of sociability is then. So long as you're doing your job well and not screwing anything up they should be content. That coworker I mentioned, we shared several of the same interests but talking to him about anything was like pulling teeth. Just coaxing more than a word from him was almost impossible. Anybody else could walk in the room who didn't care about his hobbies/interests and he would talk at them for an hour.

There's just no getting along with some people regardless of how much effort you put into it.
