Don't THINK this was posted yet, but it brings up some serious debate. Is Isis infiltrating MLP, is Obama a brony, is Pinkie most duplicitous pony, are bronies the most equipped to stop Isis, and will this effect the next movie? DISCUSS!!!

Did you watch the episode? She appeared as if she was stoned most of the time. TBH the portrayal of her as a drug using hippy seems very much cannon. You could even argue that she was Fluttershy's date because that too could be implied. There's some deeper meanings hidden in the show for adults to pick up on like Communism in the premier or Rdash dealing with Tank dying rather than hibernating.... I understand that you'd prefer if the fandom kept their output g-rated but the brony fandom is made of adults not 6 year old girls. I would not be surprised at all if you see more of this. As expected there were nearly 100 clop images up within the first week and I',m not surprised if another 100 with implied drug use. What do you do? (make a thread obviously i guess) I live in Denver fyi so pot isn't even illegal here anymore. ...and i guess not in Equestria either lol

It's all about opportunity cost, really. If Hasbro spends a load of time and effort into EQG movies they don't out full scale movies in theaters with ponies, they don't get out their tv seasons quicker, their toy aisles are full of EQG dolls instead of background pony brushables, and they continue to blur what's special about MLP. There's a reason why so many people have left the fandom because they don't like the direction it's all going. Eqgirls is a huge part of what Hasbro focuses on now. MLP is a great all-ages show where the mane 6 are adults, have their own businesses (Rarity / AJ) and lives, and live out adventures in a fantasy feudal world with adventures. EQGirls is specifically made to sell toys to tween girls, the mane 6 are teens, and they experience life in a earthly high school setting that's even more boring then your average Monster high cartoon. I cannot overstate just how boring a premise that is or the disappointing fact that a one-shot movie is now becoming a trilogy to make more money. The change in what it is and what it was is just too huge. Rainbow Rocks didn't rock and didn't have that many memorable songs as a whole either. It's like being a fan of Metallica's Justice For All and then being asked to enjoy their self-titled by the "same band" when the chemistry has all changed (and even moreso once you get to later albums like Load/Re-Load). There's a valid reason to notice when there's a decline in a tv show, a band, or a movie series and it's never going to be the same magic again.....that it has all changed. Part of being a fan of anything is knowing when there's a downturn occurring that happens overtime and because of specific reasons.

This pretty verbatim with how i feel. While i dont hate EQgirls with the same vigor as i used to I think keeping them separate with the exception of Sunset Shimmer returning to Equestria. Hopefully we'll never have to see an EQgirls third movie or ongoing series to further milk the tween doll market. :okiedokielokie:

Honestly it will be disappointing if they don't get them this season. I mean how much further can they put this off (they seem to be indicating it should happen this year). But no it doesn't make sense to split resources to have 2 shows when cmc has already had several episodes already and we're waiting a year+ between seasons for vanilla mlp anyway.

I'm sure there are ponies (like Golden Harvest aka CarrotTop or her Aunt Orange) who are in charge of other foods for ponyville thanks to their cutie marks. But yeah the whole Apple family is pretty IN to apples both through nature (cutie mark), name, and tradition (taught that way for generations).

Got to see a few people play at one of the local ponycons and played it once. They did such a good job with the artwork and the card descriptions are hilarious. If you can pick up a deck it's definitely worth it just as a really cool collectible. It really looks very professional. I'm a bit surprised that we don't see more fan made card collectibles tbh.

I don't think Rarity is necessarily terrible in keeping Spike around as she enjoys her company but she has definitely taken advantage of it before (moving insane amounts of luggage around for example). The other consideration is whether taking his young crush and keeping him strung along is truly fair. It would be inappropriate given the age and race difference for it to come to fruition but i'd love it if for just once they'd actually talk about it head on (like Dipper and Wendy did in Gravity Falls in S2Ep2) on the show even if that means that they're just friends. Way too much staus quo. But yeah is he just Twi's assitant? Her adopted son? Her pet? Her servant? Even that hasn't been truly answered either. What responsibility and loyalty does she ultimately show him? He's not treated quite as an equal and will he ever?.. Biggest problem i have with Spike is that "his" episodes i count as the worst of the series for the most part. He's also shown he's a bit selfish whcih may be part of his culture. Othewr times he's a bit incompetent. Ultimately if the show's writers can't write him interestingly then how are we supposed to appreciate him either?
