  1. Glacier stared intently as Shamrock gave her guidance. She followed behind whilst licking her ice cream. Despite her new approach, Glacier still shook at the sweetness of the food. "I can't really say that iced cream has been a particularly enjoyable experience,"  she said. "Are all of the iced creams like this? If so, I don't think they're for me. What are we going to do after we've finished?"

  2. @@Gloomfury

Glacier took the ice cream to her mouth and took a large bite out the top. As she chewed it, her face puckered and she shook her head rapidly. "Gah!"  she exclaimed once she had swallowed her mouthful of ice cream. "It's so sweet! It's like biting into a lemon dipped in honey! I'll try and finish it though. It would be wrong if I didn't."  Glacier took another bite of ice cream and again her lips puckered.

Glacier's eyes scanned the menu at the ice cream stand. There were certain flavours that she recognised from things she'd previously eaten like strawberrt, vanilla and mint.. Also, there were wonderous flavours that Glacier had never heard of like cookie, fudge and cheesecake. "Why would anypony want a dessert that tastes of cheese?"  Glacier asked. "You must have to really love cheese to have it as a dessert. In terms of what I'd like, I don't see blueberry on there so I'll just have a vanilla flavour, if I may."

Glacier shook her head. "This isn't about skill or talent,"  Glacier said. "When I get hit and attacked, something happens that I don't have control over. My survival instincts kick and I just go completely berserk. I become completely engrossed in the violence that I don't stop untill either the opponents die or I do. I don't want to fight you because that instinct will come out and I won't be concerned with the rules of boxing, my instincts will leave me tearing flesh from the bone and puncturing organs to ensure I'm the last pony standing. And that's not something I need to put you through."

  5. @@Gloomfury

"That's pretty impressive,"  Glacier replied. "Taking Changelings on at a melee combat is usually a bad idea. I suppose given that you're likely both accurate and powerful with your blows, it probably didn't take much effort to put them down."  Glacier stooped her head and frowned. "I wish I could duel with you but I'd probably end up seriously wounding you or hurting you."

  6. @@Gloomfury

"I've always respected Changelings,"  Glacier said. "Everypony seems to hate them just because of the whole Canterlot invasion thing which, if anything, was a perfect display of how not to do an invasion. But anyway, I reckon it'd be fun to learn how to do Changeling magic. I ought to pick up a book on it sometime."

Glacier managed to control her urge to growl and step away when Shamrock moved closer to her side. "My favourite animal would probably be the pipstrelle,"  Glacier announced. "It's a type of bat that has a really small and fuzzy brown bod but a big wingspan in relation. It's either that or the Changeling."

  8. @@Gloomfury

"I suppose you could walk a little closer,"  Glacier said. "And yes, I'd recommend you do give sleeping outside a chance. Everything is more fun in night time. All the bats and owl come out to play and ne'er-do-wells plot villainous schemes under the inky cloak of darkness. But that's enough of that. Can we leave quickly, please? It's starting to get a little too cramped for my liking."

  9. @

Glacier wasn't quite sure why the pony in front of her wanted to talk. So far all she'd done was use up a paper towel and disrupt the pony's cruise by vomiting off the ship. Groggily, she walked towards a recliner and sat on it. "My name's Glacier,"  she said with her eyes closed on her hooves on her head. "Glacier Shard. What about you?"

  10. @@Gloomfury

Glacier shook her head. "I'm afraid I won't be able to do that,"  Glacier replied. "I find it easier to get to sleep on grass and dirt than in a bed and the feeling of the night air running over me is really relaxing. And I'll be fine sleeping by the woods. I'm incredibly easy to wake so should anything try and hurt me, they'll find it won't be as easy as they thought."

  11. @

Glacier took the paper towel from Blast's hoof. She ran it around her mouth  until she found the "small something"and rubbed ferociously. When she felt she had finished, she held it out in front of her. "Can I keep the napkin?" she asked. "I've got a terrible feeling it won't be the last time I need it."  An ache shot through Glacier's belly as she stumbled to her hooves, causing her to wince slightly.

  12. @

(Glacier's a mare, by the way.)

Glacier took a shaky step back from the edge of the ship. She was still pale and was now slightly drained of energy. Slowly, she turned to face a scarlet pony who had started to talk to her. "No, everything's fine,"  Glacier said sarcastically, a minute remnant of vomit still on her muzzle. "I'm just, you know, vomiting off the side of a large airship into some otherwise pristine oceans."

Gently dropping to the ground with her hooves round her stomach, Glacier began to think. 'Oh... how can I be feling like this? I'm never usually this sick and it can't be something I ate. I must be air sick or something.'

  13. @@Gloomfury

"I'll keep it in mind,"  Glacier. "But on your question about where I'm staying, I haven't picked a spot yet. I was thinking I'd go near the forest from earlier. Although there weren't many wild animals there, I did see a lot of berry bushes and it's likely there will be a pond or stream that I can drink from. Why were you asking?"

  14. @@Gloomfury

"I think you could probably guess,"  Glacier said as she rose to her hooves. "In terms of fruits, I'm not too fussy. It'd be nice if they had some of the more... interesting fruits that I'm used to in the forest but, again, I highly doubt it. I'll probably have blueberry if they have it."  When Glacier had put her plate back in the kitchen, she walked towards the door out of the hotel room. Suddenly she stopped.

'Wait! I have found any soft ground to sleep on yet! I'll have to look once Shamrock has turned in for the night.'

  15. @@Gloomfury

"Yes, I've never had iced cream before and I can see that that's going to be a problem,"  Glacier said. "I doubt there's going to be a venison flavour or anything like that and if all of the flavours are like chocolate, I don't think that I'll enjoy iced cream. I'm not overly keen on sweet foods but I'll give it a try."

  16. @@Gloomfury

Glacier nodded her head. "I like the sound of going for a walk,"   she replied. "It should be quite interesting as I've never had ice-cream before. Perhaps after we could find some fruit and sap so I can finish making the target board."  Glacier worked her way through another sandwich as she looked around the hotel room in boredom.

  17. @@Gloomfury

As Shamrock place a hoof on Glacier's, Glacier instantly pulled hers away. She went to growl but only a deep sigh could come out. "You'll need to be careful with the whole physical contact thing,"  Glacier warned. "My time living wild has left me very over-alert and I... I don't particularly like being enclosed and in small spaces."

  18. @@Gloomfury

Glacier ducked her head further in respect. "You know, you and I are quite similar,"  Glacier said. "We're both determined, we're both respectful.. well maybe that's mostly you. We've both forged a life in duelling and we both have our fathers as the main pony in our lives and pasts."  Glacier sat silent for a moment and worked through another mouthful of colcannon. She swallowed and continued.

"Maybe I've been thinking about this the wrong way. I've been so hung up in the fact this place is pretty dreary to properly consider whether I can tolerate you. You've got some positives to you that I'm unlikely to find elsewhere. I think it's only fair that I give you a shot. As a pair."  Glacier looked towards Shamrock and smiled. It wasn't her sarcastic, toothy grin but a smile of kindness and fairness.

  19. @@Gloomfury

Glacier nodded. "It's good that you respect your father,"  Glacier replied. "I hate it when I see spoiled brats who insult their parents and treat them badly without having a true reason. Even then, they need to to respect their parents. And you are right, my father was a good stallion. He was one of the best I've known. He made it his job to make everypony feel wanted and... and he was the one of the only ones that understood me."

  20. @@Gloomfury

When Shamrock mentioned the passing of her father, Glacier bowed her head. "I'm sorry that you lost your father,"  Glacier said quietly but seriously. "From what you've told me about him, he sounded like a great stallion. He reminds me of my own father in some aspects."  Glacier put more colcannon into her mouth, chewed it awkwardly and swallowed.

  21. Glacier sat on the floor in her cabin. It was a fairly large one, lavishly decorated with fine artworks, large sofas and chairs and flawless oak tables. Slowly, she rose to her hooves and began to try and push the tables to the side of the room. It wouldn't budge. All of the furniture was stuck to the floor of the cabin. Glacier growled, left her cabin and headed towards the deck of the ship.

'This is so dull! I can't believe I let myself get talked into this. This isn't luxury at all. The rooms are too cramped and there's no way of moving the furniture without ripping out the floor and there's a vegetarian menu. Why can't something exciting happen?'

On the main deck of the airship, Glacier felt a little more comfortable. She shielded her eyes from the sun with a hoof so she could get a proper look at what was around. It was nowhere near as enclosed as her cabin but it was still as uninteresting. Deck chairs and sun loungers littered the floor but it was otherwise empty.

Before she could return to her room, Glacier's vision started to blur and her face paled slightly. She recognised the feeling and it was not one she enjoyed. She dashed to the edge of the ship and leaned over the railings. When she felt comfortable she wasn't going to hit the edge of the ship, she retched and vomited over the edge.

  22. @@Gloomfury

Glacier looked over the food in front of her. She could see sandwiches containing a variety of fruits and vegetables and a strange mashed potato glob that she assumed was colcannon. Gingerly, she took a sandwich and took a bite. 'As bland as I remember, but it's still food.'

Given her unsuited teeth, it was hard for Glacier to finish the sandwich but she managed to in the end. She then took a scoop of colcannon and put it in her mouth. Remaining perfectly silent as she ate, Glacier chewed and swallowed. "This is quite good," Glacier said. "I'll let you keep your limbs."

  23. @@Gloomfury

Glacier kept up with Shamrock as she led her to her room. Shamrock vanished into the kitchen leaving Glacier alone. She sat on the floor next to a wooden chair and began to look around the room. It didn't particularly appeal to Glacier; it felt too enclosed and easy.

(OOC: All of Glacier's thoughts will be shown in italics.)

'Hm... I best stay alert. I've been stupid in letting her take me this far. Now's the prime place for her to try anything creepy. Should this come to blows, I just need to remember the plan.'

  24. @@Gloomfury

Before Glacier had chance to reply, another grumble roared from her stomach. She winched and clutched her belly before she continued walking. "That was a vile one,"  Glacier said. "I really ought to find some food quickly. How far are we from your apparently amazing colcannon or whatever it was?"

  25. @@Gloomfury

Glacier shook her head. "Close, but you're way off,"  Glacier said. "I was planning on making a board for practicing accuracy over long range. I would have put some fruits on the splinters to simulate things like the brain, heart and lungs of a target and placed it somewhere for away and shot at it. Not the best way to practise but given how lifeless those woods were, there are few other ways."
