  5. I am a Christian, and I do believe that animals go to Heaven. From what I understand, the Bible does not directly address the issue of whether or not animals go to Heaven, so the answer is indeed a mystery but one I can speculate about. I believe that animals, as well as plants and pretty much any form of natural life (so not AI, or other man-made entities) have a soul of some kind. This soul is different from the human soul, because the Bible makes it clear that specifically humans were created in the image of God. However, that does not mean animals, plants and other life do not have a

Mega Thread Count to a million

445563 I would like to take a moment to point out how big 1 million truly is, and how this thread is an excellent demonstration of that fact. This thread was posted on August 13th, 2013. Today being September 5th, 2018, this thread has been going on with (likely at least somewhat consistent levels of baseline activity) for over 5 years. I've posted in this thread many times over the years, including back close to when it was first started. This thread now has over 17,800 pages. Despite that fact -- we are not even half-way toward counting to 1 million. Still, with every post
  7. No way, who likes jokes???? I certainly do not enjoy this "joking" or "memes" as they say these days. No thanks. I'm not funny and I'm proud of it.
  8. @NewCalamity hey man I'm waiting for the post
  9. Thank you so much, Jeric, I really appreciate your kind words. I think I may have mentioned topology in our discussions in the past -- that branch of mathematics has long held a particular intrigue for me. That's very kind of you, thank you. If I can ever be of help with trigonometry or anything else, please always feel free to send me a message about it and I will gladly do all I can to help. Regarding the differential equations topics you mentioned, I have had a decent amount of exposure to them but those are among the most challenging concepts for me personally
  10. I always enjoy looking at the history of websites, especially this forum as well as several other sites that are all very special to me. I've spent a ton of time reading through old threads here. In fact, I remember that was one of the first things I spent time on back when I first joined, as part of trying to get more of a feel for what the community was like. It's also really fun to check out the Wayback Machine. It's a really fascinating way to look into the past. For example, this is what the MLP Forums index looked like back on October 5th, 2011: https://web.archive.org/web/2011100
  11. Hi, everyone. Regrettably, I have made many posts in my distant past on MLP Forums that severely contradict with my faith in God and our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as who I am as a person. For those who may remember some of my old posts, please know that I completely and utterly rebuke so-called "New Age" spirituality. In my past, I allowed myself to become deceived and entertain legitimacy for a wide range of "New Age" spiritual ideas that are all satanic lies and deception. At some point I want to make a forum or blog post explaining these issues and my walk with God and understanding in mor
  12. Just want to put this here for anyone who may see it. If anyone needs help with math, please feel free to PM me. I can help with most everything up through multivariable calculus and elementary differential equations. I may be able to help to a minimal extent with linear algebra or other (basic) levels of higher math beyond calc 3, but I would need to consult other references to do so. Additionally, I would be interested in receiving help from anyone with substantial experience with modern algebra, real and/or complex analysis, number theory and topology ranging from the elementary
  13. I loved the MLP movie. I honestly don't love it as much as the actual show for many reasons. Primarily, because most of the movie, not including a few aspects such as Tempest Shadow, just didn't feel as deep or touching as many episodes from the show have felt, probably because this was more focused on trying to "appeal to a broader audience" which is an unfortunate but common mindset because it makes lots of money. I also don't love the art style as much as the show's. That aside, I still loved and enjoyed the movie and I'm very much looking forward to season 8, as well as the upcoming Equestria Girls series.

Oh yeah, and I really really did not like how Sia and other pop culture / celebrity nonsense was shoehorned into the movie. That's by far probably what I'm most critical of. I could write a very long word wall explaining why I don't want Sia or other mega celebs shoved into the franchise, but to put it shortly, pop singers like Sia are not good people, they are not even remotely good role models for children and they probably couldn't care less about MLP or its values as long as they get their paycheck. I'm particularly disgruntled with Sia because they had to give her the movie's denouement song instead of allowing it to be a song sang by one or more of the main characters that have been a part of the show for so many years. Sia getting that moment instead disrespects the show's many talented voice actors and actresses who have been with the series for years, as well as the characters themselves that are such a huge part of making MLP what it is.

Yeah, all that fuss with Sia just for one song that the movie could easily go without.

My critical thoughts about the movie, the bad ones as well as the good ones, can be found in the comments under Ashley H's video on YouTube here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDvVWLTQDRY  (posted as Bon Bon).
