  1. @, The pegasus grinned at the younger sister's reaction, giving them both a quick bow. "My apologies for the mistake. Name's Arctic Frost, lead singer and guitarist of the band Razorwing. Nice to meet you both." Whether they knew of him or not, that wasn't what was on his mind. Hell, most ponies probably HAD heard of his band before; he wasn't one to gloat about it. Well...maybe a little, but now wasn't the time for that. "You two getting ready to play a game? Hope you don't mind a spectator; I love me a good game of pool."
  2. @, Walking inside...Frost had definitely underestimated the older stallion. His decor was quite well done, with a rustic antique theme that frankly reminded him...of a mansion. He wasn't as artsy as most ponies that he ran across, and maybe he didn't quite get the concept, but he could appreciate the foyer's design. To be fair, he had expected Grandfather Clock's house to be...well, old for one. Dusty photos, inoperable vacuum tube radios, a musty smell wherever he walked...but somehow, the stallion had managed to keep his belongings quite dust-free and in better condition than the displays of, well a museum. Would he live here? Probably not, but an occasional visit surely wasn't out of the question. To be perfectly honest, he would've taken the time to admire some of the pieces of fine artwork...if his wandering eyes hadn't found the two young mares setting up the billiards table in the room beyond. "Well, hello there." Chuckling to himself and trying not to go too overboard, he approached the sisters with curiosity. "Sup, ladies? I take it you're Clock's nieces?" To be honest, he did find the blue sister quite...intriguing.
  3. Frost hummed to himself as he trotted along the dirt road, his signature black weave guitar case strapped to his back where it usually was at any given moment. It had...been quite a while since he had seen Grandfather Clock. Hell, if he remembered correctly, the old codger had expressed interest in hearing his music...then degraded it afterwards. Since the encounter, the pegasus had made it a point to compile a selection of his newer stuff for Clock, determined that if one day he met the stallion again, he'd show him a thing or too. And it seemed that the day had come yet again...he hadn't been expecting that invitation. ...that and he supposedly had two attractive young nieces. That totally wasn't the reason he decided to come check out his mansion. At all. ...okay maybe a little bit. Chuckling to himself at the thought, he continued up the road, the mansion coming into view. It certainly wasn't a building style that Frost was familiar with on a personal level; he would much rather live in his cloud house than ANYWHERE on the ground, to be honest. Noticing that Grandfather Clock was busy with some other guests, he trotted past the stallion, passing a smirk and tapping the bag on his back with a nod. Yes...this was going to be fun... ...right after he got a chance to meet the others, of course. Who knows, maybe they were fans of Razorwing?
  4. I...really can't determine whether or not I should be laughing or mentally traumatized. So THAT'S where this all began. Well played, I'll have to check out the videos eventually.
  5. Personally, I don't see how this entire Shrek worshiping thing has lasted so long. I don't get it, didn't the movie series die a few years ago? Serious question: Why is it still circulating?
  6. I've been on one hell of a Gundam run recently, it's...kind of funny. First is probably one of THE BEST English covers of this song. The second is just...catchy. Extremely catchy for such a dark series. =w=
  7. Just finished watching Death Note for the first time ever, and oh god it was wonderful. Currently trying to ease myself back into Gundam Seed so I can get Gundam out of my system for a while.
  8. For those fans of Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, this is BEAUTIFUL.

  9. What's your name? Arctic Frost. Are you a stallion or a mare? Definitely a stallion. What kind of pony are you? Pegasus, loud and proud. How do you know Grandfather Clock? When I met the guy, I wasn't sure what to think. He's been alive for HOW LONG? Surely he's seen some bands come and go if he's been around for, like, FOREVER. I told him about a concert Razorwing was playing in Canterlot, thought I'd invite him to see some REAL music. Are you related to Grandfather Clock? Nah. Grandfather Clock is not always the most sensitive or sensible pony. Has he ever done anything to upset you? Of course he has. What'd he do? Talked down about my musical style...man, I swear, nopony appreciates metal nowadays. Anything else? Nah. Link to page: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/arctic-frost-r2561
  10. Dragonforce's new album is SWEET. Totally worth the pre-order.

  11. Is it just me or is that new Dragonforce song Tomorrow's Kings REALLY REALLY CATCHY? @_@

  12. This new Alestorm album is GREAT. @w@

  13. Being so bored at work that you're silently coming up with an algorithm for calculating how your markdown database calculates price drops and SERIOUSLY considering writing a Java program from it.

  14. Avenged Sevenfold re-releasing Waking the Fallen at the end of the month, SO PSYCHED. Pre-ordered the Best Buy edition for the flag. @w@

  15. *trots around his empty house*

  16. I'm going to go ahead and say Naruto, for one. I'll admit, I was TOTALLY INTO IT back when it first started up, now it's just.....bleh. The fillers started to turn me off, and I just...don't care for it. I wonder myself why people still watch it, especially with the boatload of decent new anime we've been getting recently. Something different but still on the list? Stock iDevices. I can't stand the stock firmware and the fact that Apple locks you out of most of the things you're able to do on an Android device, and everyone around me seems to have an iPhone. Sure, I'll see the occasional Android or Blackberry, but I REALLY don't see the hype over iOS 7 and why everyone seems to enjoy having a device that you can't easily move data back and forth on unless it's HEAVILY modded. As a programmer, I like having access to the file system and being able to tweak things, thank you very much.
  17. ...my profile has been quiet for a while now. Should I be concerned?

  18. Shin Getter Robo was intense and manly as all get out. @w@

  19. Why is Getter Robo so AMAZING? @_@

  20. I've had a tie of All Nightmare Long by Metallica, and Last Impression by Two-Mix for some time now, but the latter is definitely going to stay there for a long time. Namely because it's a beautiful song and I love it to death. Even three months after watching Endless Waltz, it...won't leave. Whereas the former is a newer one, Last Impression is just...latched there in the back of my head. It occasionally surges forward but I have to bop it on the head and shake my finger at it every now and then. Yeah. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1PQEZyXOl8
  21. It's powered by friendship, it just HAS to be. An interesting point. I've debated this myself to be honest, and...I really can't say anything but magic. Sure, it hasn't really been seen in the show, but maybe it's all hidden wires and everything is plugged into the ground? That, or wireless power sources, which, again, brings up the point of MAGIC. Long story short, in my opinion, magic is like nanomachines: you don't have to explain ANYTHING. I believe 'suspension of disbelief' takes care of that for us. EDIT: In addendum, either the ground is a giant magic generator, or there are portable magic generators that convert magical energy into electricity.
  22. Definitely one of my favorites, for sure. I keep the first few albums on my computer's music library/phone for those days when you just need a bit of a reminder that it could ALWAYS be worse. Definite shoutout to Jesus of Suburbia, St. Jimmy, Holiday, Burnout, Basket Case, and Minority. I'll have to admit though, I...don't really care for the newer ones much. I liked Kill the DJ off of Uno! but...eh. Maybe I'll give the other two a try some day. *shrug*
