    I'm feeling rather annoyed. Why? The Japanese dub completely changed Griffon The Brush-Off's aesop from "rather than try to influence who your friends spend time with, you yourself should try to be a good friend, and trust that the true face of a false friend will eventually be revealed through their behavior" to "if someone's being mean, don't retaliate." Lauren's message for girls: "Don't let society and media stereotypes decide who you are. You have the right to be your own individuals and choose what you wish to be." Japan's message to girls: "You are not allowed to be whatever you want. We only see you as weak and powerless sex tools who need to fit our perfect image of you. You need to accept your lot in life as an uncomplaining, submissive victim." This very controversial view of women would have Faust fuming.

    I recently tried watching MLP in other languages. While the English will always be the best, I found the Japanese and Polish versions to be quite good, and I did watch most of the first episode in German but I didn't finish because it was getting late. I love Twilight's German voice though (and she's voiced by one of my favorite German actresses, Julia Meynen, who does the voice of Hitomi from Escaflowne!), but her Japanese and Polish voices are great too.     Wow! It seems I'm not the only one who is annoyed by Applejack and Rainbow Dash's voices, though they'll probably improve overtime. I found the voice acting to be very well done. Twilight sounds cute and dorky as she should be with a touch of shyness, Spike sounds so cute and boyish, Rarity sounds perfectly elegant albeit higher than her English voice which isn't a bad thing, Nightmare Moon sounds a bit like an old lady, and Celestia sounds very regal. My favorite out of all of them is Fluttershy's voice. D'AWWWWWWWW SOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUTE!!!! Admittedly though, Applejack sounds weird and Rainbow Dash's voice is really annoying and jarring, but even their actresses did a good job at capturing their overall personalities. Yes, Applebloom is voiced by Pikachu. Awwwwww... One wish though: cast Rina Hidaka as Sweetie Belle! That'll make my whole entire life!

    Like others here, I do think he was introduced a little too quickly, but that didn't really bother me. I actually kind of like him! His voice is awesome, his design is cool, and he's not totally perfect either (he scolds Twilight for her accusations about Cadence for one thing). Although, speaking of his voice...I don't think I can ever look at Shining Armor (or Braeburn) the same way ever again, especially since I found out that years ago his voice actor did the voice of a CERTAIN psychotic, mentally unstable pyromaniac as pictured here:

    I just finished My Little Pony Tales. I'm writing a review for the series now, and oddly enough, it's a LOT better than I expected, and I will definitely point out why in my review.

    I'm in another slump again. See, I'm starting to get ideas for a potential crack-fic which I've appropriately named "Generation Gap?" (Yes, the question mark is official) which is about the G3/3.5 doppelgangers of some FIM ponies that take over Ponyville and how the FIM ponies react to their overwhelming presence. It both parodies and makes fun of how bland and overly girly and saccharine G3 is. But I don't know if I should go with it or not. I've never written a full-on comedy before, and I'm afraid that I might screw up on a lot of things. Should I write this, or should I have someone else write it?

    Oh! I know! How about a small crack-fic where the G3 doppelgangers of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Rarity, and Cheerilee take over Ponyville and have Twilight wake up from a nightmare at the end of it. It's a plot bunny I've had for a while, but I don't think I can do funny stories.

    @SnowDust: there's no time travel. It will have absolutely no connection to FIM. It'll be it's own original fan fiction using underused G1 characters.

    I'm not sure if this is the right place to put something like this. If it isn't, feel free to move it or delete it. I'm kind of in a slump. See, I'm starting to develop ideas for a potential fan fic starring the six original my little ponies (Snuzzle, Blossom, Bluebelle, Minty, Cotton Candy, and Butterscotch. Y'know, those ponies that first got released in 1981 that started the MLP franchise). It's going to be in the style of the show My Little Pony Tales (as in centering around earth ponies since the six original ponies are all earth ponies). But the problem is, I can't seem to think of a good title for this potential fan fic series. I did come up with a few, but they were either too long or too contrived (one title I thought of was My Little Pony: A Piece of Nostalgia). Can anyone come up with anything better? Titles are greatly appreciated!

    I wore a pony shirt to school once. My friends approved of it, but my sister didn't. She said I looked like a goth girl. Seriously, what goth would ever want to even approach MLP with a 30 foot metal pole?!
