I suppose they might if it doesn't do well we have to remember that g4 was wondrous for them. There was a lot of hype and you know the fandom pretty much kept it going full speed the entire time so essentially it depends on that. Yet you know it seems to me that the type of animation the g5 is will take a lot longer to animate opposed to g4 therefore if we do get seasons it'll likely be fewer episodes with then longer intervals which is fine but the pony drought is never easy and only the true veterans know truly know that experience all to well. That said will they kill it off, no they won't probably however I wouldn't expect it to be like g4 haha. I mean come on those of us who remember the hype around g4 know that if there was such hype for g5 it would be all over YouTube all over 4chan you could not use the internet without seeing g5 and yet I have only seen it occasionally on here. This does not seem close to the hype as g4 had and the passion for the show and the fandom then was way more. Yet you know that doesn't mean they won't continue it so long as they sell toys they're going to. Of course hasbro seeing there is not as much hype for g5 as g4 is likely going to focus rather on something else then my little pony. Yet the g4 hype and the fandom loyalty at least makes it certain we'll always have ponies though I'm sure Hasbro will probably try going back to g4 they know that would sell and as such it makes sense for them to focus on that profit wise. Since the gen 5 is slightly risky they don't know how well perceived it will be or has been and I'm sure the toy sales will answer that.

I do believe it's always been known that they are in their twenties. Whether that be twenty something doesn't matter essentially. If you think about it, they're all doing something you'd be doing in your twenties. I think though that age when it comes to ponies doesn't matter you're a young filly then a teen then young adult then adult then old haha. We never got much knowledge of it other then ponies pretty much do not seem to think much about it. So I believe mental maturity definitely matters more and same story is true for real horses. Usually a younger horse is harder to control whereas an older one is easier there is no real visual difference between the horses other then them being more relaxed in a sense. They can have a few grey hairs not much other then that. So I assume same is true for the ponies that their age is more their maturity.

I mean the fear people people have of them is same as the fear of furries mainly misplaced prejudice that they're all just some random pedophiles. Nobody is afraid of some random brony but there is still the image people have of bronies and furries. That might at least have people be afraid of them yet it isnt like because they're oh so scary they might make a reference to the show or something haha.

You wouldn't believe how often honestly, it's so dumb Twilicorn drama pretty much half of the brony fandom left I'm not even kidding and they always made a statement about it. Reality is the brony fandom is a tiny fraction now of what it was, I'd say about five percent of them judging by the forums activity of course discord took a lot of the users onto their platform. However, that said there were many other dramas that then had people go into a frenzy and leave. The thing is though the fandom was never that large to begin with, just rather vocal and you can see it everywhere but yeah watching adults threaten like that makes me wonder if they have nothing at all going for them in their life. I don't know just focus on your work, or the downpayment of your house haha.

I've never done so I mean besides why would I threaten that to anyone don't like the show just don't watch it. The fandom would likely be way larger then it is had it not been for fans leaving every drama. To be honest seeing adults behaving like children isn't funny to me, sad and depressing but not amusing have some dignity don't complain about a cartoon and threaten to leave it.

Okay wow this was way beyond my expectations, it was absolutely perfect I loved the characters the settings. The animation was beautiful and detailed, truly it was a wonderful movie with such a wonderful potential. The emocorns were also very nice touch, not to mention so many references I found myself smiling the entire time. Indeed I loved the plot, ancient Equestria and how lovely this movie was. Yet that's why I have to say that while I loved the movie and yes the ending the alicornization was a bit of well it took the movie from the cute nods to the fandom I loved and the great storyline and characters that reminded me oh wait we must also sell more toys. Somehow there was a need for that, I mean with all these new characters and new settings yet they had to have her become a alicorn begs to question why not the others too. That said, it was a bit of a you know not really how you'd have thought the story would lead to. I knew it would happen in the movie, knowing hasbro but I suppose I thought that maybe they'd wait with the alicornization in the coming episodes or seasons perhaps but that must mean it is only the movie. Regardless, the movie was perfect in my mind I really loved the vibrant characters the animation was beautiful and the settings truly magical and befitting of my little pony. Truly it felt like the beloved fourth generation and to that I celebrate I am truly excited for this. What more can I say but huzzah! I loved this movie and if there will be more seasons then it'll be very interesting and you can count on me watching it. To explain, I was not sure what really this movie would be like I avoided all spoilers even the trailers. Putting it mildly my expectations were somewhat between it being very children show like and trying to sell toys. Yet honestly that was more of a journey and I am glad that hasbro made this movie. Do I prefer the fourth generation animation, well I do and always will be and I prefer fourth generation over the fifth. However that's not to say I'm not very excited of it. So huzzah! Splendid, I'm rather fond of the movie I must say and excited for what's to come of the new generation of ponies!

I have actually held a pony themed birthday party before although it was mostly a pony cake. Therefore it would be something similar a pony themed cake I mean I don't know if more activities would suit it.

Something I did think of, whenever there was a new episode coming or season the forums would become popular. Lot of posters and speculations now you see none of that. It is obvious that there is no hype from bronies, perhaps as many of them moved on yet honestly if this was going to be popular. Then would it at least not reflect that in the hype for new seasons I mean come on there was more hype for equestria girls then this. Where is the hype my bros, or do we maybe just all acknowledge the fact that this will at best be a cash grab and maybe a little enjoyable one perhaps. Still I will watch it and I will discuss it.

Why does nobody know this somehow, where are all the OGs at bro it came from 4chan and it is very simple. Bros who like ponies, bronies. You know it is very simply that, bros who like ponies therefore you have the word bronies.

It won't come close to the popularity of G4 mainly as it had an army of 4chan pretty much making the show a meme. Which then became a fandom, I mean that's how it started bros who like ponies. Though now my little pony is pretty much seen as a show like any other there isn't really this gasps for air you watch a show for little girls. So you know I think it'll be as popular as most Netflix shows or movie in other words people will likely watch it then forget about it haha. The mlp we love is special and you know I don't think that will be something we'll see again anytime soon. Some probably are trying to overhype it because maybe they miss the golden days of the fandom. Yet honestly to me at least the fifth generation in my opinion is a step away from the fourth generation. In other words I believe it will be more tailored towards selling toys and I suppose they might try to keep it somewhat gender neutral learning from the success of the fourth generation. Yet come on let us not kid ourselves it'll not come anywhere close in popularity that and the interest in ponies well I mean the fourth generation will have a fanbase that will last forever yet the new generation I'm guessing at best they'll be fun but like honestly it will doubtfully be like the my little pony we love. That's my opinion at least would love for Hasbro to prove me wrong but well given the direction the show was already going and the very controversial Twilicorn mostly about selling toys it is obvious even the fourth generation was being kept away from going full kids show by the writers and cast hasbro so long as they can produce and sell toys are happy as such they may be completely content with just making this show and some toys then that's it. I have been in the fandom for a long time and I know the previous generations, remember the dramas it would be great if the fifth generation was great though also a miracle honestly we still should be optimistic for it.

OP pretty much answered the question themselves, simple there are the mane six all of which are female and that being said with too few male ponies I guess it wouldn't make much sense to ship them not with each other. I don't think most people really thought of it much as it's always been pretty well liked by people that is.

Well pretty much the reason why it got seasons beyond the third one is almost entirely thanks to the success of the show. This does include bronies as they of course were promoting it a lot and if you think about it from the childrens perpective the targeted demographic would see a lot of brony made content that would keep their interest in it. I believe bronies had more impact on the shows performance then we like giving it credit for truly. I mean look at most childrens cartoons most of them are just basic colourful distractions. However anyone can see that mlp had way more passion and ambitions that's partially a nod to the fandom. I mean the voice actors, the writers and animators all became well horse famous in a way they became famous and lets be honest without the fandom would they have gotten the platforms they did. Would say I doubt it, essentially the fandom turned the show into something more then a show it turned it into a family.

I believe you might be missing the point, yes it is true that the show was intended for little girls hence why pastel coloured ponies. However, this is Lauren Faust and she's always had her cartoons also aimed at being enjoyable for the supposedly parents of said children watching the show. I believe most cartoons are usually also meant for adults I mean if you rewatch any you'll see a lot of jokes you as a kid never thought on. Yet you know, is the show gender neutral I wouldn't say it is as it is a girly show I mean the main characters are girls and overall the characters are almost entirely female other then the occasional male pone and Spike of course alongside Discord. Yet the overall vibe of show is that it is for everyone. Guess if you ask yourself though maybe we're focusing on the gender roles. I mean pastel coloured ponies can be liked by everyone yet we assume it's for girls. Then again if a girl watching a show involving cars you'd say the same both are liked by both and honestly I would almost argue it is in fact gender neutral. Yet although gender stereotypes it is very obvious what the target demographic is haha.
