      I've seen this thing. The claim the 'historians' are making is that the cup wasn't originally gilded and bedazzled like that. The *original* cup is under all that mess that was added later. However, still extremely unlikely given that the base material of the cup is polished onyx.

    When buying a poster frame, do you get the same size (11x17 poster, 11x17 frame) or do you go bigger? I plan on framing my Doctor Whooves poster from Bronycon (finally).

      Not sure. I've sent an email to that friend of mine who does matting, and I'll relay what he says.

      Okay, according to my friend, no matting and using the cheap foamcore should be fine, unless the poster has significant value. In which case, getting acid-free foamcore for the backing will be worth it, and you'll want something like acid-free matting keeping the poster from touching the glass.
