Yeah it's mostly music theory that I need to work on. I also have this problem right now where I want to make music but something is keeping me from making it. Not quite sure how to explain that (since I suck at explaining things anyway) I don't know whether I'm scared to do it or what, but I'm just having trouble getting the heart to even open FL and work. If you could help with that that would also be appreciated. (first song I want to do is a happy hardcore remix, after listening to a lot of it, mostly from Assertive Fluttershy, I know what needs to go in it)

Well I have been learning how to make electronic music, and I'm not going to be stuck on one type so one day I might to trance, another dubstep. But I still need help, I have FL Studio 10, and I know my way around it, I also have NI Massive, reFx Nexus, Sylenth 1, and some sample packs. The things that I am having trouble with is what sounds to use, chord progression, and synth layering,. I've made 3 songs and deleted them out of existence cause I can't find the right sounds, I can't layer the synths right, and the chords sound awful together. If anyone could help, or point me in the right direction to get help that would be great. 1 more thing, any help with Massive would also be great. (laugh at the noob if you want)

You could try a random piano brand mixed with something else. Can't really think of anything off the top of my head (I know I'm not much of help, but hey, can't blame a guy for tryin) If I do figure out a name I'll come back.

I do have Massive, I also have FL Studio 10. Professional I believe. I have a few other synths to go along with it, like Sylenth, Nexus, Synth1.

Yeah I read the second link. Thanks for the first link, I'll take a look at it, I just need to understand to take it slow and learn everything step by step, and thanks for the links.

So I have wanted to really learn how to make electronic music. I'm a fan of Dubstep, D&B, House, and complextro. I have FL Studio, and a few VSTs, but I still need a little help in how to make the different styles. If anyone could help me with what I want to do that would be great. (also I know my way around FL and the synths I have so that's not a problem, I've also made a song that's not to great since it was my first try)

So I have been in this fandom for over a year now, and I love the fan made content like music and animations. I've been learning to make electronic music myself, any advice on that would be greatly appriciated. My favorite character is Luna, second is RD. I will be happy to talk to anyone, I'm a nice guy and I've been in the fandom long enough to know that most of you are going to be nice too. I've also gotten my sister to like the show and become a brony... or pegasister, which ever.
