From the dawn of history in Sumeria over five millenia ago up until the advent of industrialisation in 18th century Europe most people were farmers who lived on subsistence levels. That does not sound very great, does it?

Do they? In most cultures it is common to do that until marriage or even longer and the Great Recession of the late 2000s and rising rents in the 2010s have made this less stereotypical.

Though, I don't think anybody would want to live in a pre-industrial civilization. Some here mentioned pirates and the Roman gladiators and sure othes dream of knights, princesses, explorers and the like. Unfortunately, back then people of this kind were just a very tiny minority, most members of pre-industrial societies were farmers who could barely make ends meet.

"Bronies and atheism" is a widespread clicheé. And I get the impression that sometimes, left-wing people like to associate the Brony fandom with the Right, especially one of its fringe ideologies, "anarcho-capitalism". The same they do with anime and cartoons in general. I have no guess why. Maybe because all of those (MLP, atheism, right-wing politics, anarcho-capitalism) appeal to neckbeards?

Nae, they suck. When meeting somebody I go for a real restaurant and if I'm just hungry I buy baked goods or sweets in a supermarket.

I prefer the English original version, but I like languages and their differences and many songs sound a lot better in French and Finnisch, but Greek, German, Arabic and Russian sound nice too.

Both are a bit akin to English. German is closely related with it and French had a heavy influence on the English language. But they are far more complex and diverse than English. Like the French articles "le, la, les" and German "der, die, das, des, dem, den" are all equal to English "the". Also, nouns have genders. In French, a baguette is a "she" while in German a tank is a "he" and a girl an "it". Adjectives get different endings for the gender, number and case of their noun, German has 16 possible combinations. Well, there's a huge difference between stealing something or just looking at it.

I did just state a fact that everybody knows anyway, nothing more. Until the DVD releases non-US fans didn't even have any other way to watch episodes than piracy.
