  1. I'm not sure what to think of this two-parter, it's all over the place. I'm not sure it if I like it, love it, or am indifferent to it either. It had many moments where it made me chuckle, and I loved how Discord's trolled the mane 6, but with the best interest in his heart. And the speech he gave them is just heart-warming coming from a former villain. And yes, the whole "they normally do nothing" part is priceless. Because it's true. But as someone already mentioned, the pacing was... off. I expected it to be the case as soon as I saw the number of villains it had, but it was even weirder. I can't explain, it just felt off. So, I guess the other villains will work from behind in the future episodes? It's an interesting set-up for MLP which usually didn't have villains unless in specific episodes (usually two parters + that Crysallis one). PS Cozy Glow was just adorable. Not in her usual way, either xD
  2. Amethist gigled at the comment. "Yeah, I see. No worries, I'm barely any less clumsy than you are," she added, while awkwardly looking around the house. "Once, I spilled soda on my aunt, when she came visit. My mum was yelling on me for hours after that," she said, blushing, but she smiled. She hoped sharing that story would make her new acquaintance feel at least somewhat better. "You know, unicorns are supposed to be elegant and all that bullshit." "There's a job to be done here, ha?" she added, finally seeing how messy the place was. She nodded at the mention of a restaurant. "Yeah, I'm totally for it. Where is that restaurant? And it's not a... crowded place? If you know what I mean." She looked nervous while saying this.
  3. Amethist was quite nervous herself, but seeing Emerald tripping over a box made her chuckle a little. "Sorry," she said after that. "I shouldn't have laughed, that was rude. Are you hurt?" In reality, she was mostly amused because the clumsiness of the awkward pony she met reminded her of herself. "We might actually get along," she thought, not aloud. "I'm so tired from a journey. Are you for a cup of coffee?" she asked, assuming that's what would be polite to ask.
  4. Amethist Melody had also just arrived to Ponyville that day. It was early day of spring and she had just receieved a full-time job in Ponyville school. She was kind of nervous as she entered Ponyville for the first time, leaving the train. "This place looks way different than Canterlot does", she thought as she looked at the map trying to figure where the house she rented her stay was. She looked around, making sure she doesn't catch eye contact with anyone. The place seemed pleasant, but she was always unconfortable around new ponies. And most of the old ponies. She was unconfortable around ponies. That's why she decided to work with children, they are far better than their adult counterparts. She sighed while thinking about this. Lost in thought, she realized she came to the place she was staying in far quicker than she assumed she would. "Huh, this place is so small! Going from one part to the other in Canterlot would have taken ages!" She didn't realize she said it aloud so she screamed when she heard Emerald Leaf. "Oh... sorry... it's nice to meet you. My name is Amethist Melody," she said.
  5. I don't feel like it's just a dream per se, but I definitely see where you are cominng from. I mostly feel... odd. Not even conventionally sad, more like melancholic and solemn. Like I finally realize how much ponies mean to me. I've been waching the show since 2012 (!) and all along was able to look forward to the next season/episode as it was about to come out. It's been 7 years. It's not typical for me to stay obsessed with something for this long. I mean, it's pretty typical for me to BECOME obsessed with something, stay for some time and then drop it for quite some time. But it didn't happen with FiM. Of course, my level of obsession varied, and there were times when I was totally "ponies are awesome, you should watch them!" and times when I was just semi-quietly enjoying the show and even times when it slightly annoyed me but I was still drawn to it for so long. Seeing it come to end... I feel like I'm losing part of myself. I hope G5 justifies high expectations.
  6. Happy birthday! :)

  7. Welcome and enjoy your time here!
  8. Name: Kristina Age: 23 (soon 24) Gender: Female Country: Serbia, Europe Likes: ponies, Disney, Harry Potter, The Princess Diaries, travelling, chaos, randomness Dislikes: people who take advantage of you, accord , crowded places (parties included), too much social interaction, running (any sort of physical activity that isn't random jumping around, thanks), people who dislike (and especially abuse) animals Hobbies: reading, watching anime/cartoons, drawing, playing with my cat, acting, listening to music, chatting with my friends, photography Other Info: I'm vegan, definitely more childish than I should be for my age, I'm a teacher's pet usually, somewhat nerdy and mostly just odd xD
  9. Not really, I prefer not having more contact with humans than necessary
  10. I'm actually kind of glad you asked this because... yes and no. I usually say she is, but it's mostly out of sentimental reasons because I used to relate to her a lot when I started watching the show. In reality, while she's definitely in my top 5, it's hard for me to decide on one. I love her, but I also love Luna (probably even slightly more than Twi), Pinkie and Rainbow.
  11. So, go ahead and ask me pretty much anything you want . I'll be glad to answer (mostly) all of your questions!
  12. Morals are an important part of the show. Actually, with Fame and Misfortune I think that's exactly what the creators were trying to tell us: "Fuck off with all the pointless complaining and focus on the lessons, that's what the show mainly is!" (just to make it clear, I don't agree the lessons are the only or even the most important aspect of the show). But they are an important part. Actually, most of the episodes have a good morale that's applicable in many real-life situations. Some of them are light hearted and fun, some are surprisingly dark (Luna's self-harm episode or Tanks for the Memories which is obviously planned to show how to deal with death), and that's one of the aspects I enjoy in the show. I actually even liked when they did the lesson in a more explicit form (letters to Celestia) because they were a nice way to summarize what happened in the episode and give a nice conclusion. And even if the letters were sometimes cheesy (I hear you, Spike), they were mostly heart-warming to hear. And they used to remind me of how much I appreciated having my friends in my life. The show makes you feel so far from the real life but still connected to it. And you can apply what you learned alongside those ponies you love so much. Geez, now I'm getting cheesy. That being said, I don't really agree with "let's talk to everyone" conclusion, nor do I think that was the show's intentent. Yes, Pinkie enjoys it, but she's pretty much the only one in the group. Twilight and Flutters are obvious introverts who don't like being bothered by anyone outside their inner clique, and even they sometimes point out that Pinkie might be over the top with the whole thing. Sure, be nice to people if possible, but "being friends" with everyone just doesn't work... for everyone.
  13. I bit my toungue pretty hard yesterday while I was in restaurant with a friend. Luckily it didn't bleed but it still somewhat hurts. A few days ago I accidentally kicked a bed.
  14. Despite wanting to say something really smart and touching here, I guess the simple reason is... It makes me feel good. Yeah. That's it. And believe me, that is a big thing. Since escaping into world that isn't that depressing and lonely as real one is something I always need. The world of colorful ponies that learn about friendship is a great way to do so. Apart from that, the story is incredibly well written (especially considering the target audicence; though honestly I have a feeling that later seasons are more "mature" than earlier ones), it's fun and almost each episode has a good life lesson (I still pretend Yakity-Sax didn't happen lol). Characters are well-developed, and even though they appear somewhat one-dimentional at first glance they really are not, and it's amazing to see how far they've come so far. The stories are often multi-layered and some of the topics they touched are actually really deep and even dark (Luna's self-harm for instance). Animation is nice too.
  15. It was fun to watch and had an interesting premise. Actually, I think something similar to this would be fun to see in an actual episode. Twilight was adorable, and the random spells were hillarious. Side-effect... let's say - poor Spike.
  16. I loveee hugs! And I often hug people as a thank you for something they did for me, or as a simple sign of affection if I like them. Hugs are amazing and warm, and I don't mind having physical contact with my friends (this sounds weirder than it should) lol. However, I hate it when people from my family touch me. Much less hug or (probably worse) kiss me. I don't feel that level on confort with pretty much no one of them. And yes, I don't feel comfortable with someone I'm not at least somwhat close to touching me.
  17. Maybe Derpy xD . We are both clumsy and could definitely have some fun together.
  18. Hi, guys! I'm... not exactly a new member (look at date xD), but I have been absent for a long time. I promise I'll try to be active this time, I just find it really hard to fit in places that have so many members. It's overwhelming, if you know what I mean. So. My name is Kristina, I'm 23 years old. I'm a psychology student. As I wrote, and as you can probably guess, my favorite pony is Twilight, though honestly it's more of sentimental reasons as I really related to her when I started watching the show... I love all of them sort of equally now, especially (except Twilight) Pinkie Pie and Rainbow. I'm somewhat socially awkward (which explains why I don't fit in crowded places; feel free to contact me if you wanna be friends but don't expect me not to be awkward immidiately lol), pretty shy, but also really bubbly and outgoing if I'm with people I like. I have a cat named Socrates. My favorite color is green. Not sure what else to say lol. Hopefully we'll get along well!
  19. Honestly, I expect it to be... normal? Some good episodes, some bad. I hope for satisfactury finale though. Something with decent ending and closure but still open enough to leave space for fanfics and wondering, because in the end it's no fun when you know everything that happens . Let's hope creators give their best too, since this their farewell to the show as well.
