I became a brony in the winter of 2011. For a while I was neutral on MLP returning to the small screen, but one day I came across a clip totally by accident, and one thing led to another. Eventually, after being relentlessly pestered by pony vids on Youtube, I decided to give the show a try. The first episode I watched was "The Best Night Ever" and sweet Celestia I was impressed! It had humour, it had class, and somehow it had managed to light a fire of interest deep inside. However, a while after that I let my bronyism sleep, for fear it would eat me alive someday. And after watching my second episode in total (The Last Roundup), I finally gave in. However it wouldn't be until much later, following the events of "Magical Mystery Cure" when I wanted to talk with the fandom. I needed something to clear the plague of questions about Twilicorn in my mind. Now hear me out, I didn't care about Twilicorn, and I sure as hay don't now, but anyway I was tortured mentally with questions of how this could happen, and what it could mean for the show in future. But now that's been dealt with, I managed to broaden my horizons as a brony, and now I've been frequently keeping tabs on the forums ever since.

The show taught me that you can't just make friends and use them for your own benefit. When you make a friend, you make a committment to be there for them and they'll do likewise. Otherwise, your just some sad-ass deadbeat who lives life by taking all and never giving back. Thats how I was then, and I was disgusted at myself for being so greedy. Thank you MLP for showing me the way.

Hehe, being so modest I'm not so accepting of flattery. But yeah, it's a solid plot (no pun intended ) and while Twilight attempts to keep her friendship in one piece, it just wouldn't work as like you said, she is a "by the book" pony, and thus the friendship temporarily falls apart. Shocked and upset, Twilight falls into depression, realizing the role of princess takes up just too much time to be with her friends, and worse still, totally oblivious to the growing evil that is on the verge of terrorizing Ponyville. Pretty much the same goes for the others, who are at first disappointed with Twilight for overlooking her friendship in favour of her princesshood, overtime regretting the mistake of getting angry at her just because of her duties, when they should've been more respectful and patient. And just when they get together to reconcile, the villain strikes with all momentum behind him/her. On a side note, I beg to Larson to make Chrysalis the villain for the S4 curtain opener. Unaware of the fact a new princess was crowned Chrysalis returns to seek her revenge, by first going after the ones who kicked her out the first time round; Shining Armor and Cadence. Realizing her brother's and foalsitter's lives (and love) are in danger, Twilight has to act! Continuing the upper paragraph, once everything is said and done, Twi does not renounce her princesshood, but instead tells Celestia that being a princess alost cost her friendship, only for Celestia to respond with the correction to Twilight's current lesson; she did not need to behave above her friends to be a princess, but simply to keep to her watch over Ponyville with modesty, justice and fellowship. And that is the lesson Twilight learns. End of story, goodbye, the end. *Eyes up forum* Any questions?

If anything, I'm afraid of the Mane 6 being broken up over jealousy. As a matter of fact I'm starting to imagine it as the plotline for S4. Twilight begins the season by believing that because she is a princess now, she should act more like it. Therefore she holds herself aloof over her friends and this begins to rattle the nerves of probably Rarity, Rainbow and deffo AJ, being the Element of Honesty and all. Then they suddenly break up, and while a villain prepares to attack Equestria, Celestia tries to help a depressed Twilight find a spark that will move her to reaffirm her friendship with her friends. Just as she does, the villain attacks, and the stage is set for Twilight's future. Will the vanquishing of the villain totally absorb Twi's powers, and with it her form? Or will something else shocking happen?

You may have a point there. Celestia and Luna wouldn't just send Twilight out on any old assignment that would see her gain a princesshood upon her return. This had to be a test that would truly test her limits, and push her to reach heights we never contemplated. Those heights being the transformation into Twilicorn and her promotion that followed. Of course defeating King Sombra was that kind of test and Twi passed with flying colours, despite having not defeated Sombra directly. However, now there's the question of how long it will last.

Yeah, Chrys was an awesome villain, however it would've been even better if she didn't just hang about gloating and singing about her day. Just suck the lurve out of Equestria and be done with it like! But no, she had to become THAT type of villain as well......and paid for it.

I assume her task will be to maintain the day's afternoon, with her jurisdiction being over the main Ponyville area. I take it she will be a subordinate to Princess Celestia. A minor government official assigned to represent Ponyville and the Everfree Forest. It would suit Twilight as she would still be able to live in the library and maintain close contact with her friends! Case in point, the Mane 6 lives on! Of course, I haven't forgotten the sudden lack of equality between Twi and her friends in this matter. I wonder how it will affect them in the course of S4......
