Sort of.
It would really be no different than if he were squished by two normal blocks.
For the portals, he would collapse onto himself, and his bones and the rest of his body would resist being squished, because that's just how solid objects are. If you tried to push your two hand together are hard as you could, that'd basically be what's happening, except there'd be no place for them to slip or falter, and the force would be much greater, as the machi...

as the machine is what would be the force that is pushing your body together. Imagine it as the two platforms are at both of your elbows, pushing forwards, making your hands push together.
The only difference with it being portals would be that your matter would be much more jambled up, because your arms and legs would be forced inside of themselves individually, rather than everything coming together to form one massive ball.
