    So Twilight's giving in to fear and anger and the glow of her magic is now red. So that's why Luna is coming to Ponyville dressed as a Jedi next episode, she has to fight Darth Twilight.

    The Princess sounded like somepony was going to end up on the moon. And I can see there's going to be a lot of mileage made out of Twilight's "Rainbow Dash, you don't have to hide your feelings from me." Prepare your ships for battle!

    At work, one senior tech is on extended leave and I've been filling in for him. So "my" computer, upon which I have put a brushable Rarity, is actually his. I'm thinking of leaving it there for when he gets back next week. I wonder what he'll say or if he'll even notice.

    Oh, I thought an adblocker might affect those SkimLinks you mentioned. I find an adblocker extremely useful for general browsing, but I always turn it off for sites I visit frequently that rely on ads.

    I have an adblocker turned on by default, but if you're using a little advertising to help keep the forum running I'm happy to disable my adblocker for this site. I might be willing to donate in the future too, provided I can manage to retain my current employment.

    Okay, now I'm not sure. Is the mobile skin meant to look the same as the desktop site? Because it looks like I'm now getting the desktop site with useragent set to either Android or to iPhone. I'm no longer getting the blue iPhone-looking one at all. Edit, 12 hours later: Don't know if the above was just a cache problem or what, but now it seems to be working. I'm getting the mobile version with both Android and iPhone user agent strings. To quote Fluttershy, "yay".

    Okay, it seems like the site doesn't recognise Android devices too well. The mobile version workaround I was using apparently doesn't change very much of what is served up, although the site does seem to use less CPU when I use that option. Setting my browser's useragent to "iPhone" automatically gives me the iPhone page which works quite well. I'll keep using that for now. Does the site identify the useragent string "Android" at all?

    Email from somepony you know in real life? I hope you can block them and forget about them. It's sad that some people have nothing better to do than harass somepony for what they like.

    It's a great episode, and I love the crowd scenes so I can pause and count how many Lyras I can find, how many Bon-bons, look for Roseluck, etc.

    I have heard of that too, I believe it was in an interview on the Bronyville podcast with one of the animators, probably Sibsy. I seem to recall she said she had a copy of it that she'd play while driving, and was quite disappointed they ended up going with the "bad" version for the show.And I keep hearing mention of a soundtrack CD too, I wish Hasbro would hurry up and release hard information about this! Christmas is coming up and so is my birthday!

    I don't at all like Cupcakes itself, but I do like the fact that it exists. That has allowed a lot of interesting references to appear in the fandom. Some of it is humorous, such as in one of the Progress chapters where Luna finds a movie adaptation of it on TV, while she's spending some time visiting Pinkie Pie. Pinkie then comes out from the kitchen holding a knife (I think) and the tray of cupcakes she's just been baking for the Princess, right as the movie starts to really get to Luna. Her reaction is... not good. Other references are quite a bit darker, such as the Ask Pinkamina Diane Pie tumblr, which I have found both beautiful and disturbing. I think overall, Cupcakes has brought more to the fandom than it has spoiled.

    I'd say Rarity first, of course, then Twilight, then Fluttershy. There's something I really like about Fluttershy's voice, both singing and speaking. Next would come Rainbow, Applejack, then Pinkie.

    I don't like Gilda. I don't dislike how the writers used her character, I just don't like her. She made Fluttershy cry. No forgiveness for that.

    Even though I don't really get into fighting games either, I'm really looking forward to this. It looks amazing, you can really see how much effort the developers are putting in. I just hope it has a single-player mode, since I suck at fighting games and it wouldn't be too much fun getting my ass handed to me every single match.
