I just hope he'll see that despite his depression (he's been depressed on a off over a few things, which is normal for everyone, so it's not chronic. However, knowing what chronic depression does on our perceptions of the world, it can be hard to see anything good, even if it slaps you in the face...not that I'd recommend that...

Yeah, ponies fixed me when I was feeling depressed. I really have no idea how people deal with depression. I have just felt super optimistic every day after I became a brony. But yeah, I don't know how other people deal with stuff like that. So, I don't really know what to say about it. So yeah.

Well I am glad you found a niche that cured your blues. Everyone deal with depression differently, but it's the chronic depression that can really get you. That kind of depression is difficult to cure by your own accord, even with ponies...a good support system, some fresh air, and maybe some medication (though most likely but not always)...hurrah, random tangent!
