      Really threatening to fire him because he is working, that's dumb.. Too bad that in todays economy jobs are hard to get so it's not much he can do about it, else then just keep working untill they start appreciate him, although I'm sure it will start getting better soon. Sad hearing how your husband's employers treat him. I'm sure they'll start appreciating his work, sooner or later.

      I know it happens to many people, but where he is working, it's probably the best job he could get...and if he loses it over him trying to adequately do his job, we will be pretty much screwed because any other job in his field of work will pay almost half of what he makes now. He's worked hard to get where he is, and he does not deserve to be harassed the way he has been.

      well, I'll explain the situation. He's a welder, and works at a place where they make cabs (for tactors, garbage trucks, bobcats, etc.) and they use a lot of "fixtures" (components that hold the cab in one place while it is being welded on), but most of the fixtures are outdated for the cabs that are being produced, so oftentimes the workers have to pry and hammer at the fixtures to loosen the cabs to be moved, otherwise they are stuck.
