Saints here are very prevalent and some traditions date back to pagan times, eg. burning of badnyaks for Christmas, first it was in honor of Svarog the god of sun. The problem is we use different calendars for holidays, so it's really important to honor the saint on proper day so we know who's on who's side We also don't celebrate pointless holidays like Halloween

Also copper is very beautiful, the color looks better than gold in my opinion

Personally, I think the way all western modern holidays are celebrated are silly. But that's because of the mass commercialization.

I agree with you on copper. I don't have a gold wedding ring, I have a copper one (with a matching necklace) that my husband made. It's not the MOST beautiful copper ring out there, but he put his heart and soul into it, making it worth more than anything that could be bought
